Hi tsikoteers! I hope you won't mind if you could help me out with my dilemma. yung mirror sa left driver side mirror is nanakaw sa parking. I was hoping anyone of you would know how much it costs now and where I can find surplus? my car is an Altis 2005. TIA!

try the ordinary car parts and accessories stores. when mine got stolen years ago, i opted for the taiwan fakes.. kung nanakawin lang uli, e wag na yung napakamahal na orig. besides, the fakes did their job just fine..

Just buy from the Toyota CASA. Try also at Toyorama (Banawe). Please don't buy from surplus shops or freelancers as you're encouraging them to go out and steal more. Minsan di pa gaano kalaki yung price difference between a legit, new mirror and one you buy from the streets AFAIK.

yes sir.. tama ka dyan.. kaya yung sakin pina engrave ko yung plate number sa baba nung salamin.. kse kung sakaling manakaw (wag naman sana) hindi rin nila maibebenta yun..

^ ako din nagpa-etch na ng rear view mirrors (kasam na din iyong mga ibang glass parts ng monty) 2 weels ago maski ka na in 2 years time mag-papalit din ng plate number ayon sa lto (kung matutuloy). marami din kasi pwede mangyari sa loob ng 2 taon sa aking wari

btw, meron nga ba gumagawa nito sa labas? iyong amin kasi in-house free service ng insurance provider kaya walang problema. gusto ko din sana pa-etch iyong sa fd namin kasi oem hydrophillic thingy kaya i'm sure taga 'to sa casa kung mamalasin

sir tanong ko lang, saan ka nagpa-engrave? baka gawin ko din yun para sure.. sinaglit ko na nga lang kanina sa banawe di bale ng malate ang hirap kasi magdrive ng walang side mirror, nakakatakot edsa/commonwealth pa naman daan ko lagi. bumili nalang ang nung taiwan made. baka sa weekend bumili narin ako ng guard para di na madukot ng mga walang hiyang magnanakaw yan! :mad:
