April 14th, 2011 10:05 PM #1I have tried Petron, Shell, and Caltex lubricants but, as I measure, it goes down in almost half of the stick after 3 to 4 months. I am sure walang tagas ang langis... natural ba ito sa ganitong modelo ng Altis?

April 28th, 2011 09:58 AM #3have this problem as well.
turns out, may tama sa taas, and recently sa baba.
ung sa taas, forgot kung ano tawag, gasket ata. kita ung tapon ng oil sa engine. had it replaced and my had an engine wash. ok na. wala ng tapon ng oil sa taas.
after around 4 months though. i had to add 1L of oil. come 6th month, nagpa change oil tune up ako.
aun, ung tinaas ung kotse, nakita may mga tapon ng oil sa baba. although never nagka oil spill sa floor - sa bahay and parking. most likely oil seal raw (ung details nandon sa receipt). unfortunately, hindi gumagawa ung Rapide non kasi automatic ung auto. kelangan raw kasi tangalin ung transmission kasi nasa gitna ng oil tank and transmission. i'm planning on having this checked pag bumaba na ung oil ko ulit.

+1 kay sir ghosthunter. baka may blowby na sir. have your compression tested. kasi the possible culrpits for that would be the following:
Valve cover gasket (you had this replaced already)
Camshaft oilseal
Crankshaft oilseal
Flywheel oilseal
Cylinder Head Gasket
Kung hindi sa mga nasa taas, baka may tama na oil control rings mo sir.
