550k 2006 Fortuner (flooded) Good Deal?

My uncle is searching for a 2nd hand car, his budget is 500k for a large sedan or an AUV/SUV,
One of his friends told him about this flooded 2006 Fortuner White 4x2 2.7G VVT-i GAS,

• It was submerged up to the door handles...
• Already cleaned and serviced by a toyota casa (w/ reciepts)
• ECU is not damaged, guaranteed by the mechanics * the casa
• Engine is in good running condition, transmission is ok too...
• The bottom of the seats have water marks, but the interior is pristine
• Headlights have moisture build-ups...
• The alarm does not work but my uncle doesn't mind...

Do you think this is a good deal since the car was fixed by a Toyota Dealer and it seems to run fine when we test drove it?
And for the price my Tito is already tempted to buy it since he really likes the Fort

500k then it's good to go. I don't think that it will last long enough than expected since it's flooded. ;) But have it checked again at casa after 2 months, just to make sure.

nakatipid ka pa rin ng around 300k.. coz 2nd hand fortuner 2006 model usually mga 800-900k pa yan...

mura na sana ito kung may warranty ang casa sa components na nirepair nila pero kung wala ito medyo alangan ako. I doubt kung may remaining warranty pa ang unit from dealership as a brand new dahil 2006 model pa ito.

Yup, its really a good bargain since the 2nd Forts cost around 800k. Its just scary what if the car dies while your on the road (quoting from a lemon Ford Focus Tdci from another thread). Were planning to take it for another test drive with our trusty Mechanic friend who works at a different toyota casa to get his opinion... That fort is really on top of my uncle's list but he is also considering 2003 Pajero 4X2 Diesel and 2004 Everest 4X4 Diesel too...

It still has. If it's bought around december 17 onwards since toyota only offers 3 years of warranty. But if it is bought at december 15 or earlier then the warranty had already lapsed. BUT ... there might be a chance ... if the owner extends the warranty and pays for it's extension fee.

From the info above somewhat pwede na rin.
1. Anyway the ECU was not damaged.
2. Alarm is not a big deal.

Submerged just up door handle oks na bsta ok ang motor ng power window.
Headlights have moisture build-ups, clean it asap para wag masira ang reflector.

If it's a gas engine & no problem w/ ur uncle pwede na. Mas ok kung 500k nlang or lower
