    Another is price.

Im nearing my 55k PMS and gusto ko sanang isabay sa palit ng air filter pero im contemplating if mag-stick ako sa paper air filter which costs around 500+ pesos and papalitan every PMS or Hurricane Air Filter which costs 2500 pesos pero car's lifetime use na.

    Any input will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Lifetime is relative. Personally, If the car is not for race or motorsport use, I'd rather put in a brand new Php300.00 replacement air filter than spend half a day trying to clean those 'so called' reusable air filters. I'd have to spend Php800.00 on a cleaning kit anyways (good for 2-3 uses?) and I don't really have the time nowadays to do the cleaning ritual.

Original air cleaner housing also better protects the engine against water ingestion should you accidentally (or intentionally) dunk the car in water.

*otep: thanks sa input. the hurricane filter na bibilhin ko is yung drop in type which means ill still be using the original housing.

tama po si crazy boy, still mesh type siya kaya soak lang sa tubig na may joy then rinse ok na. kaso nga yung filtration nung filter and questionable e. and yes di ko naman po pangrerace yung kotse. pero syanag din yung gastos sa filter everytime magpapa-PMS.

    aaargh decisions.

hindi naman every PMS kelangan magpalit ng air filter. for 2nd gen vios, every 20000 km ang change. in between, linis lang.

Metal mesh filters are not good for our cars. These will not remove the small bits of dirt in the air that normal paper or cotton based filters will remove. Those small bits of dirt will end up inside your air flow sensor, throttle body and in your cylinders. This will result in screwing up your engine's sensors and accelerating wear & tear.

saw one, blowed air in it, parang walang restriction sa airflow wtf, meaning no filtration. I think even with oil, wala pa rin gaanong effect.
