I do hope they upgrade but I doubt that they will change to the 8sp aisin. Even Isuzus new dmax stuck with the 6sp.

Knowing toyota they will stick with reliability over anything else.

They could nick the aisin unit from the montero they seem confident enough about that unit to put them in 5.7 landcruisers. They'll probably be forced to if they give the 2.8 a power bump since the ac60/AWR6B45(according to sae) is rated upto 450 nm.

Expecting 7 airbags and ESC as standard across the range. Anything less will leave a lot disappointed. Imagine the Vios having better safety features than the Fortuner lol.

Maybe Toyota Safety Sense on top-spec 4x4, better if they include it in the 4x2 V. Minor changes on headlamps, tail lamps, and bumpers. New colors choices.
