    I visited the newly launched Suzuki Showroom in Pasong Tamo extention this morning and finally saw the all new Grand Vitara on display.


    Exterior Design

    It really resembles the current RAV4! The all new grand vitara looks really good tempting. The large tail lights is a mix of RAV-4 and Prado. Front styling is agressive. It has that silver-plated mesh grill and Lancer Evo7ish headlights. HID? no, the all new grand vitara doesnt have HID. All the while I thought they used the current Rav-4's rims. Looks small but they are actually 16''s.

    Interior Design

    The combination of silver and black colors greets you when you board. Like the Swift, it has a gate-type shift and it looks cool. Audio is integrated and comes with steer mounted audio controls for convinience. Aircon switches and 4wd system switch are easily reached by the driver. Front legroom is generous and comfortable. Rear legroom is adequate but knee room is quite tight. The all-new Grand Vitara's seats are wrapped with black fabric and optitron meters are standard. The luggage compartment is adequate but if you really want a big space, the rear seats can be folded and tumbled forward.

    Price

    The all-new grand vitara is priced at 1.180M for the manual and 1.250M for the automatic and it is offered only in 4x4. SUV buyers will get the standard 2.0 DOHC 16-valve MPi which has 145hp*6000rpm, gate type automatic transmission, power windows, power doorlocks, power side mirrors, twin airbags, ABS, EBD, BRAKE Assist, integrated audio with steer mounted controls and four speakers, key-less entry, optitron meters, and outside temperature with fuel consumption meter. Yes, it is more expensive than the Sorento diesel and 20 grand more than the 2.0 4WD X-Trail but less expensive than the CR-V 4x4 and RAV-4.


    The all-new Grand Vitara looks promising. Attractive styling is a winner. I want to drive one.

    i was just wondering, nanghiram ba nang design sa toyota yan? as in parang badge engineered vehicle. but it looks good. :D

    Pansin ko lang..... yung Grand Vitara na na-drive ko sa US, maalog sa patag na kalsada pero yang Grand Vitara na na-test drive ko, walang kaalog-alog sa EDSA? Yung suspension siguro ng mga pangit daw ang ride sa US, maganda dito sa atin (tulad ng Pajero).

    correct if im wrong pero diba mas softer ang ride ng us cars and SUV's like the suzuki vitara compare to suzuki sidekick of us and Pajero compare to Montero of us for cars naman corolla vs tercell or is it just me

    Me likee this Suzuki!

    Ganda rin ng kulay. Not that common on our streets. Minor nitpick is the 4WD system (dial type?!). But as long as it's available in M/T, it's good enough. Next important thing to know is the fuel mileage.

    parang masikip ang legroom sa likod...
    di ba under powered sa 2.0 (remember the 2.0 escape mas matakaw pa kesa sa 3.0V6)
    parang masikip din ang cargo...

    Looks nice, I dont prefer the color of the display model though. Black would look better. I'd probably also change the rims. But overall it seems to be a good buy.

    How are the seats, are they comfy?

    The seats reminds me of the CR-V which is firm but supportive.
