Plan 2 buy Suzuki Alto. Pros and Cons (like sirain ba)pls.

Hello tsikoteers esp. mga Alto owners!

am considering buying an alto bec. i believe it is an fuel efficient small car and malaki ang matitipid namin ng misis ko sa fuel not to mention its current price. Japanese brand pa din naman sya unlike kung korean or others. maganda naman ang track record ng suzuki re manufacturing small vehicles db? those are some of the pros i believe. can you add more? or do you have negative comments to tell also? all info that will help me decide is greatly appreciated.

pros ;

1. fuel efficient, hindi na kailangan patunayan pa. after 5-15k km mas gaganda pa ang FC mo.

2. tag price is cheap but still a very reliable car. Suzuki Alto has been in the automotive industry since 70's-80's pa.

3. it's faster than what you think for it's .8l engine.

4. parts are cheap.

5. best for city driving, ok too in highway.

6. very good aircon

7. alto comes standard with Tripmeter, Heater (kahit hindi naman kailangan sa atin), headlight leveler, rear wiper/washer, rear windshield defogger

8. palit mags lang maporma na ang Alto.

9. any gasoline would do.

cons ;

1. suzuki brand, low resale value, so if you plan to get rid of it in within 5 years, lugi ka lang.

2. I only recommend Suzuki Caloocan and E. Rodriguez casa's. others have bad aftersales service.

3. it is a small car, legroom would be short. max passengers would be 4 adults.

4. underpowered kapag marami kang sakay obviously.

5. steel rims for Standard model, hubcaps naman sa Deluxe. aesthetics wise it is a con.

6. bullied on roads. may mentality ang ibang drivers na mas malaki sila mas magaling na sila kaya kapag hindi ka maunahan or ma-overtakean for example eh parang masisiraan na ng ulo.

7. mabilis umingay ang release bearing, very normal to all Alto owners. but aside from that wala na naman.

my personal experience, aside from those already said:

cons
- may tumutunog agad sa may steering rack ko, nung pinachk ko naman maayos lahat ng pangilalim ko, this is still for further investigation. hindi naman sya maingay lage, only on certain types of roads kaya bareable naman yung ingay.
- maingay yung release bearing ko. i have no idea why it is so pero tingin ko papaservisan ko lang to maayos din to. its only noise naman, walang effect sa performance nung kotse.
- its a small car so small parts din ang installed, meaning mas madali talaga masira kesa normal sized vehicles pero kaya naman to mapatagal ng tamang pagaalaga.
- agree with the being bullied part, wag ka lang papasindak at wag mo nalang sila pansinin.

pros
- most fun car i have ever driven, for some reason, maybe because its like a toy. its really fast for its small engine and the engine sound is something you'll never hear from other cars!
- madali isingit at mura maintenance.
- you dont have to worry about it being carnapped.
- bang for the buck!

Personally the Suzuki Celerio is more fun to drive than the Alto.

nope, different sound bro, di sya tog, parang kumakalog lang, para bang may maluwag sa may steering. usually naririnig ko sya sa mga mabato o rough surfaced roads

sabi mo naman most fun car you have "ever driven", so bakit may apologize, tama naman yung binanggit mo hehe.

at kahit na-drive mo pa ang celerio, swift, jazz, qq, yaris tapos sabihin mong sa QQ ka pinaka-nasiyahan imaneho, still you're right, opinion mo yun hehe.

pero kapag sinabi mong QQ is the best in terms of performance compared to other cars, medyo na hehe.

maraming salamat! very informative ang mga sinasabi ninyo. expected ko na yang mabubully ka sa daan since maliit lang ang alto. iwas lang nmn yan at like what teiyaki boy says, wag magpapasindak. me and my wife is considering the alto since we just want a car that my wife can use to and from work that is economical and is very reliable with low maintenance needed. kawawa naman kasi ang misis ko kung ang dinadala nya ay ung aming Besta van. mura nga ang diesel pero ang fuel consumption ng van is never gonna be the same compared to a sub-compact car i believe.

just keep on putting here your opinions re the alto. the more input i get the better. keep it coming guys!

well just to add baka sir kasi magulat ka since one of your priorites are fuel consumption... the first 2 to 3 PMS for your alto, (up to 15k or less kilometers travelled) may have as much as 5 kilometers per liter.. this is already experienced by our Alto owners.. after a while it will decrease.. as much as 17 kilomters per liter.

medyo may pagkakaiba na rin nga pala ang 2011 Alto pagdating sa engine.

.8L F8D 12 valve 3 Cylinders VVT. yung 2010 models pababa hindi pa VVT.

pero kung FC talaga mas lamang ang alto kaso lugi ka lang sa porma kasi nga mas mura..

pero if you can extend your budget suzuki celerio ang mas ok hindi lang sa porma pati sa FC at mas maganda ang safety features nito..

if i may add bad ang aftersales ng suzuki e.rod and manila bay.. mukhang pera mga tao dyan..

mas maganda pa sa iba..

pero mas ok sa shaw!!

sorry pero kahit anong klaseng gawin mong papuri sa Suzuki Shaw, mas maraming hindi satisfied customers.

mas magaling pa rin ang Suzuki E.Rod at Caloocan as per reviews. ikaw lang yata nagbanggit na ok ang Suzuki Shaw siguro dahil sponsor ng Team Celerio ang Suzuki Shaw.

nanlait pa ng looks ng alto. eh kaya nga mas mura eh.

eh kung sabihin nalang natin na mag suzuki swift nalang din kasi mas pangit ang Celerio kesa sa Swift. imbes na magtulungan ang suzuki owners may isang taong may crab mentality.

sorry but Suzuki Shaw sucks.
