any simple tests to determine if the shocks or the springs need replacement? i feel that the rear suspension is a bit soft -- parang malambot sobra at bumibigay without really pressing too hard on it.

simple test to determine if you already need to change your rear shocks is to press hardly on the rear of the car (you might need to put your whole weight on it). kung matalbog na parang naba-bounce at walang bawi, then your shocks are shot.

Feeling ko shock absorber yan meron kaming almost 20 years old na sasakyan dito hindi naman nagbabago yung tension nung coil spring palagi lang shocks ang pinapalitan "Unless" kung yung coil spring mo is pina-initan or pinutulan maaring pwede dun magkaron ng problema. Ano nga palang sasakyan yan bro?

malambot talaga coil springs sa likod ng modelong yan.. halata lalo na kung puno ang likod. you can change them with a more stiff aftermarket parts if you want but better check your shocks first.

check the shocks first. they're the ones that usually give out first.

    Brgds....

    baka nga shocks yan...

pero for information, you don't need to buy surplus springs if kung talagang springs nga ang sira.

brand new springs costs around 800-1200 depending on the vehicle. yung father ko, nagpalit ng springs for a corolla 2000 love life model dahil nung nabili nya yung car ng second hand eh putol yung springs. he got the springs for 800 pesos each at minerva alabang.

Kung gusto mo tumigas, changing the shocks will only help a little you need to change the springs.

if im not mistaken around P500 to P600 lang ang stock spring nyang ganyang modelo sa toyorama, new denso or toyocars.

pro malamang shocks yang problem mo, happened to me bofore.

brand new kyb shocks sa rear would cost around P1,600 to 1,800, depends kung saan mo bibilin. I opted for refill sa cruven, P800/shock

shocks or springs?
