Pudpod na Brake Pad?

Mga tsong need your help. yung brake pad ksi nung Bighorn ni tito is napudpod. pang service ksi sa province, hindi na check. nung nasa SLEX na pag tapak nya sa brake lubog na lubog at hindi na kumakapit. Buti na lang mabagal ang takbo. Dinala sa shop, ang sabi is ung piston it tumatama na sa rotor disk and nakayod na. Medyo malalim ung pagka-kayod eh, sabi ng mekaniko is pede pa naman. so pinalitan nya ng bagong brake pad. Pero doubtful parin ako. Tingin nyo po anu po ang best thing to do? TIA!!

Have your mechanic overhaul the brake, buy a new brake kit. Kit is not expensive and overhauling the piston on your brake is an easy task. Even you could do it, its very simple.

Have the piston checked... if it doesn't leak and is not deformed (scratch lang ba?), it should be okay.

But the brake disc, if it has a deep groove, should be resurfaced or replaced. Grooves can collect pebbles, which can jam against the pad and cause further damage to your brakes.

no way matatamaan ng piston yung disc unless wala na pati backing plate ng pad... f nagpalit ka na ng pad and di na sya malalim and kumakapit na yung brakes then ok na yan.

my advice is check mo lang yung disc brake plate mo ... tingnan mo kung malalim yung gasgas ... kasi usually pag naubusan yung brakepad nagagasgas yung disc brake mo ... kung ndi naman ganun kalalim okay na yan ...

pag feeling mo malalim yung brake pedal mo ... bili ka ng caliper kit ... or let your mechanic wash the caliper for excess rust ...and dirt sa piston ... while your at it ... check mo na rin kung may tama yung caliper piston mo ... kung kaya makuha sa liha (sandpaper #1000) pagawa mo na ....

no leak naman po, pistons doesnt look deformed. but the brake disc has a slight grooves on it po..

So far its working now po. pag tumapak po is makapit na.

ill try working on a sandpaper po. If ever hindi po makuha ng sandpaper. may alam po kyo na kaya mag pantay nung gasgas sa plate.

Or for peace of mind papalitan mo na yung rotors/discs, calipers and pads in one shot. Have the brake system bled na rin and fresh DOT 3 or 4 fluid put in. That way wala na tantsahan and he can have peace of mind pagbalik sa probinsiya.

ok po, do you have any idea on how much would it cost? nag tanong tanong na ko sa mga shop and walang mahanapan ng mabibilhan po. san kaya meron sir?

medyo mahal yan sir dahil malaki ang rotor ng big horn. Nasa more than 8k siguro yan.
