pawis steering to power steering conversion?

hey peeps, just wondering if there are any recommended shops which convert a non power steering car to a power steering one. i have a 96 lancer EL.

how much and is it worth it?

is it worth it? IMHO oo naman.

how much? no idea, I remember one poster na inabot more than 7K (not sure of the exact figure, could be lesser or higher) for just the parts using an all surplus PS parts from a Proton yata or Hyundai

FYI, adding a PS feature to your Lancer EL will mean an additional load to your engine. With Lancer having a 1300 engine mababawasan pa lalo ang power nyan with the additional PS load plus the load of the A/C.

di naman po masyado ang kakainin load sa engine ang PS as against say an a/c system. pag iniikot lang ang steering wheel nag kakaload ang makina. yun corolla xe 1300 din po ang engine. worth it po ang mag pa PS. tama po ang sabi ni artpogi mga 7 to 8 thou. includes the pump, gearbox, tubings, hoses and if needed additional pulleys.

I think afrasay's cousin (Ferdie) can do that for you. I was there kaninang umaga having my classmate's Sentra's power steering hose replaced.

Maybe he can also help you source parts.
