What's the best/bang-for-the-buck brake pads out there in the market?
I've read here that most of you recommend Bendix brake pads. But I want to know if Bosch brake pads are any good/better than the former.

Right, ako din gusto kong malaman, kase parang pudpod na din yung breakpad ko..
Try to buy ceramic pad if you can. They are quieter, less dust, and doesn't fade during heavy braking, they are bit pricer than the average semi-metallic, but you'll be satisfied in the long run.Originally Posted by pixelparadigm
Where can I look for ceramic brake pads? If ceramics are highly priced, does the price difference from semi-metallics justifiable?
ask for akebono. these are ceramic as far as i know.
for the most part, bendix works great. performance and fade wise, not so good if you really puch the car.
Not all Akebono pads are ceramics, you have to specify that you want ceramics or else they're just going to give a regular bi-metallic or even organic. Thats what I have on all my vehicle (97 Quest, 01 Frontier & 01 Sentra) and so far so good with almost 50K miles, it still have more than 50% of its pads and the rotor is clean as a baby's bottom.Originally Posted by speedyfix

I've tried the low-end Akebonos and Bendix pads. Ok naman both. But we have more experience with Bendix since that's what we use with the fleet.
Also, medyo maingay yung Akebono. Otherwise, ok din.

5 years tumagal ang bendix brake pads for my lancer.
a set of bendix cost me P650 yesterday.
Bendix Metal Kings. Some say kumakain daw ng rotors but my experience (along with some friends at Nissanbayan) is contrary to the belief.
my bendix metal kings have eaten through my rotors... but it took six years.
How far in terms of mileage useage? Fair enough given your car is a/t and the bang of the buck performance of the Metal Kings,Originally Posted by ghosthunter

I go through a set of bendix metal kings every 7000km to 8000km. How often do you replace yuor brake pads?Originally Posted by 111prez
mmm... lakas ata mapudpod ng metal kings.Originally Posted by ghosthunter
for our 323, more than 40K na ang tinatakbo ng ordinary bendix.
its not really the fault of the brake pads... my rotors are the drilled & slotted type so increased brake pad wear is expected.Originally Posted by mazdamazda

you have to drive really hard for them to eat into the rotors. worst thing about metal kings is the dust.
