I noticed that the steering wheel of my 2001 Pajero would vibrate upon reaching 100kph. I was told that I should buy a "steering wheel stabilizer". Is this thing any good? Where and how much? Thanks :D

just replaced mine with a TJM steering stabs from Freeman of Armark International. the vibration, especially on rough roads, was minimized.

it's along A. Mabini in San Juan. you'll see a large BRAHMA and ARMARK sign.
I guess it would be better to wait for his reply if he has it in stock and mountings needed. :D
sir freeman,
pacheck na rin po for an isuzu mu. pls PM me the price with installation.
i badly need one
tebs, ang MU mo ba uto locking hubs?, or manual locking hubs. if auto shift on the fly ba?
The Pajero's are not equipped with steering dampers off the factory. Yes I have several steering dampers in stock and am pretty sure we can find something that will fit.
The Isuzu Mu requires a very small damper which I do not have. You can replace it with a factory part.
Hi Freeman, are there dual steering stabilizer kits for the 2001 Nissan Patrol ? I always experience steering shimmy at speeds past 80 kph triggered by a bump on the road. I just have new tires on it and recently had wheel alignments. Pina-tsek ko sa kasa mga tie rods niya at center link ok naman daw and they just replaced worn saddle bearings. I've been having this problem since 2005 if I recall correctly..Originally Posted by ;84994
Sir Freeman,
How about for mitsu pick-ups na 4x2 meron po?
How much?
Thanks:D
Old Man EMU also has steering stabilizers for various SUVs. I've seen some at RATS Katipunan specifically for the pajero when I was there to have my snorkel installed.
Steering stabilizers prevent wheel shimmy. I have a friend back in bacolod who was driving his Nissan Pathfinder at 80kph when his right front tire blew. Buti nalang he had a rancho steering stabilizer installed. He just heard the tire explosion pero no jolt whatsoever. Lucky him. I don't think he would be alive to this day if he didn't have that installed. Sigurado nag swerve yung pickup nya without it.
I have a Rancho steering stab installed in my Vit. I just had the mounts fabricated. Works wonders.
less than 30mins. pero kung meron sigurong i-aadjust or kelangan pang i-fabricate, syempre mas matagal.Originally Posted by Beefy

baka kailangan ko rin ng ganun.. i also felt that on my ride.. saan kaya ako makakabili sa cebu ng ganun...
i noticed yung ibang naka-oversize tires have TWO steering stabilizers bolted in their axles.
i recently installed one, procomp sa axle din. it dramatically improved handling. im installing another, stock lang sa may chassis this weekend.
by the way, my mechanic advised me not to put the RUBBER BOOTS na. porma lang daw, and dirt & water will just accumulate.
P500 each ang procomp rubber boots. but you can also use rubber boots from motorcross bike's forks. of course, fitting is not as perfect. P80*.
Olive Drab,
Cut a small triangle on the bottom of the boot to prevent dirt accumulation. You can also tie both ends using plastic wire ties.![]()

Need an Ambulance? We sell Zic Brand Oils and Lubricants. Please PM me.
yon ride ko may wiggle 90 to 100 kph even with new centerlink and stab na TJM. it turns out na kailangan lang pala ng balancing ang tires. from what i've read steering stabs would benefit most those with bigger than OEM tires, say a safari or a vitara with a 33" or larger tires.
steering stab helps minimize bump steer. tama ba ang term. it helps absorb the shock when a tire hits a rock or a lubak, it wont let the steering wheel spin out of control.
caution lang, some people put an oridnary fluid type shock as steering stab, it would not work like a true steering stab.
Speaking of steering stabs... sino kaya ang retailer ng steering stabs with coils? I'm planning for an upgrade too.
