December 2nd, 2008 12:15 PM #1hi,
i got a leaking axle shaft boot (inner - diff side). i got a quote of replacement original parts (boot + clamps + grease). the replacement parts costs around 500 while the orignal costs around 2.1k. is it still alright to use a replacement part for this purpose? my car is a stock daily driven car with a few out of towns every once in a while.

okay na yung replacement axle boot, check mo na rin baka me tagas ang axle oil seal, ang boot kasi kumakatas lang kapag punit or natanggal ang clamp

December 3rd, 2008 07:12 AM #3i presume walang leak ang oil seal, kasi super lapot ng tagas na grasa. but i think it would be good to replace the oil seal narin.
follow up question, do i really need to replace the snap rings/circlip sa dulo ng axle everytime na kinakalas sya from the tranny? (iba ito dun sa clamp)
