is it safe to use bigger tires?

kalbo na yung 195/60r15 ko na tires, dalawang bridgestone which lasted 6 years and dalawang goodyear assurance which lasted for barely 3 years.

i'm looking at yokohama geolandar at-s size is 205/70r15

yokohama c.drive 205/65r15

bridgestone er300 195/65r15

gusto ko sana yung yokohama, maganda kasi saka ganda ng grip. mitsu spacewagon lang auto ko.

sir safe naman kung ganyan lang ang size ng tires na ipapalit mo just be sure walang sasayadan yung tires mo maliban sa lupa he.he... use the tire size calculator and see if the diff. is only 3%, pag masyado na kasi malaki ang gulong mo sa standard size apektado na ang speedometer mo and reading mas mababa sa actual speed mo.. and also check the tires load index...

205/60R15 is a nice upgrade from those who have 195/60R15 stock and what to upsize a little. Wider tire, taller sidewall.

More than 3% difference is not adviseable.

Too big a difference will lead to extra stress on the suspension, possible rubbing and extra weight, which will be bad for fuel economy.

Taller tires are good for highway economy (lower rpms at every speed), but not good for economy in traffic... which is where most of us spend all our time in.
