    Hi Guys,
I recently had my a/t 95 nissan sentra b14's rear oil seal replaced. During my drive home I noticed that my power steering was humming everytime I turn the wheel, when I got home i noticed that the PS fluid was overflowing from the reservoir this has never happened before. This morning when I went to have the wheels aligned, because the wheel assembly was removed during pull down of the transmission, the PS suddenly became heavy then after alignment it was totally gone but as I continue to drive home i can feel it becoming light as i drive but everytime I idle the car it becomes heavy again. Hope somebody can give me some info on what could possibly be wrong I refilled the PS fluid back to normal and there are no visible leaks on the PS line. Thanks in advance to all.

Try lifting the front wheels off the ground, then open your ps reservoir while fully turning the steering wheel left to right for about 5 times. Check if fluid moves. Then, try turning your steering wheel with tires on the ground and see if it still heavy.

Probably your ps had air inside.

Thanks kurby I will try doing that. Is it possible for the PS Pump to overheat? When the fluid overflowed the night before I can feel the PS reservoir a little hotter that it usually does.

it is possible, there might be air inside that may be the reason why it over flowed. :D

Without doing anything to the car the steering wheel felt normal again yesterday, although there were some heavyness felt when I was parking it yesterday in our house. Until this morning the sttering was normal even during idle, I hope this continue and no repairs would be needed.
It's just weird it would go from totally bad to ok just like that.

Low level of power steering fluid may cause heavyness in steering wheel.

If it would happen again with no apparent fluid leaks, replace the pressure feed hose. It may be closing in inside preventing circulation thus overflowing your reservoir.

If it would happen again with the pump okay and no apparent fluid leaks, replace the pressure feed hose. It may be closing in inside preventing circulation thus overflowing your reservoir. High rpm will force the fluid through only to be hindered again as the engine goes back to idle.

Thanks, I will take note of that up to now the steering still is normal although I can hear some groans when I turn the wheel.

pag nagoverflow yung reservoir ng PS at me humming sound, indication na me air sa system... replace the O-ring ng pump at ensure na tight yung mga clips ng hose...
