    hi,

on my manual, the specs should be atf dexron ii (mitsubishi lancer glx 2000 by the way). masyado maraming choices. in addition to that, some labels only say atf - no dexron markings of any sort. medyo nalilito ako. i went to shell and they have two kinds of atf - one is 1xx.xx and the other is 2xx.xx. any suggestions?

mahal sa gas stations, mapa break fluid, motor oil or atf.

iirc rp is 350 a bottle. for a 1 liter ps system you'll be needing 3

Personally, I go for STP. Mura eh, less than P140/bottle sa Ace Hardware. Never had any problems with it naman, even on different cars (B14 Sentra, 97 Accord and 06 Civic).

is stp synthetic? rp is synthetic

what makes power steering fluid different from atf? power steering systems use atf right? what would make a "real" power steering fluid do to the system in comparison to an atf dexron ii spec?

are you asking ATF (automatic transmission fluid) or PS fluid (power steering fluid) cuz, thats totally different on PS fluid vs ATF.

exactly i wanted to know, Transmission fluid a slippery liquid that acts as a lubricant on gears thicker consistency. power steering fluid is like a hydraulic fluid thinner consistency to go thru the valves and lines.

does that mean that ps fluid is better than atf because of its thinner consistency? just like engines with lighter weight oil, mas magaan sa makina?

go ahead if you want to use that on your motor, power steering fluid is not a lubricant.

in some cases ok lang to interchange psf and atf. pero it depends on the car.

if psf is thinner, then wouldn't it promote leaks?

powersteering fluid sa banawe ngayon is stp and pureguard

stp is cheaper mga 90 per bottle pero 345ml

pureguard is 120 per bottle and 1 liter

same naman yan basta power steering fluid is white while atf is red

for more question buzz me or inquire nalang kayo
