April 30th, 2025 07:20 PM #5In general out of proportion ang Subaru SUV front overhang. Reason daw ay kailangan nasa harap ng shock towers ang pistons, engine block kasi hindi kasya sa gitna ng wheel wells.
Pero magawa naman ito sa BRZ/86. Siguro dahil smaller ang wheel wells nito.
(Na trigger ng mention sa Toyota Sport 800 na may flat 2, hehe)

April 30th, 2025 07:26 PM #6It's because of the AWD, the longitudinal orientation of the engine and the way the transmission is built.
The engine has to sit in front of the transmission, which has output shafts aligned with the front wheels.
With BRZ the engine can be further back because it's RWD only.
