This is a surprise. Hope it gets a DSG or a torque converter instead of a CVT.

A DCT might not be a possibility as no other Subie has a DCT tranny. Maybe an 8-speed torque converter would be a possibility. We will have to wait till March 28 when the new model will be unveiled.

It looks like a small brother of the Ascent. As usual, with the same boxy features of previous generation Foresters.

And im guessing no more turbo. Which is kinda sad. Still it will sell well.

Which Levorg? the local one? The global top-end Levorg model also has the FA20 turbo engine.

If Subaru will be playing it safe, they might use the old and trusted 2.5L NA engine of the Outback 2.5L. However, Subaru might use the NA version of the new FA24 engine used on the Ascent.

I personally dislike how Subarus have changed their traditional automatic transmissions. Also the auto industriya says that there is a possibility that the turbo will still be offered? I thought Subaru has already decided not to offer turbo anymore? Or maybe just for the current generation

What don’t you like about the new CVT vs the old AT?

From what source did autoindustriya gather that info?

Have you tried driving Subie’s CVT compared to their old AT tranny?

No more turbo ... all models come with eyesight tech ... it's like they ran out of new ideas for the exterior ...

Nice move on Subie for putting that all-weather cargo bay. No news yet on the powerplant?

Its all over the blog sites. No turbo. Just a reworked 2.5 liter NA engine with 12 more hp and 2 more lb/ft. Retuned CVT.

    Sad
