    Hindi parang space wagon 'yan (which is more of a van, at least dito sa Pinas). It's more like a station wagon/SUV but classified as a sport executive sedan (weird ano? Daming category -- but that's why I'm buying that in a few weeks). It's a 2.0 flat4 executive sedan wagon na 4-wheel drive. Hihi. Ayaw ko masyadong marami bumili para huwag ako maging common. hehehe.

    it was sold here 12 years ago (1995)by Columbian Motors. Maganda siya naman until now.

    they say some nissan parts swak syan.... locally nilabas lang is the sohc 2.0 94ps wagon, w/ 4-matic or "5-m/t w/ hi-lo mode".

    Columbian motor? WHere at?
    Are parts ready and easy to find in case of probs.?

    I saw somewhere cost around P200-P350K. Fair deal?

    subaru legacy now is released through motorimage. there are two variants the sedan and the wagon. it is the editors pick for executive sedan in the latest c! magazine. www.motorimage.net

    wala na halos ang columbian motors..tangap naman yan sa motor image...

    kung 350, for me, ok na ok yung ni-link ko, may sukli ka pa, pero kung 250-300 for the stock 2.0 n/a, mahal...maganda kung makakuha ka ng 2.0 non-turbo, pero manual kasi may hi-lo range yun(parang sa mga pajero/LC/safari), ang mga matic walang hi-lo range, pati yung ni-link ko.

    kita mo yung makina, sa pic ko, ang alternator ay nasa taas, pero quite a challenge palitan ang spark-plugs...alam ko sa gilid kasi yun(boxer engine is flat!)

    bibihira lang bumili kasi nyan,e....mga may alam/enthusiasts sa kotse 12 years ago lang ang bumili

    WHy should i get non-turbo?
    What are the models during those days that it was sold by COlumbian?

    Ngayon ko lang napagisip-isip... tagal ko na gusto ng subaru kaso mahal hehehe.

    kung yung non-turbo, manual tranny,bukod sa 5-m/t at hill hold pala, (sorry), matipid sa gasolina yun, parang naka ordinary 2.0 exec car ka, pero may hill hold(for steep inclines mostly)

    kung yung pinost kong link na turbo version, matic pa, dont expect much sa gas consuption, pero di ka papahiyain nyan sa NLEX or kung naki-pag trak-day ka sa BRC/SIR sulit...

    mura ang subbie kaysa sa over-hype na na evo... ang 07 impreza-STI cost less than an evo 9, di lang MIVEC-turbo ang sti, but its 2.5L turbo!

    buti nga may motor-imag na mapupuntahan,e.. dati noong nawala ang columbian motor, walang mapuntahan..

    columbian motor, yan ang may dala ng suzuki, kia, subaru noon.. then napunta ang subaru sa GM-phil na parang lalong di nakiklala kasi sa mga lemon ng vectra at omega (nadamay sila..) ngayon, humiwalay na ang suzuki at subaru sa chevy-GM ph... kaya may sariling dealers na sila.. ang chey-gm puros korean-rebadged ang binebenta at ang tunay nay GM lang nila is yung tahoe and suburban.(ay OT na)

    subbie leagacy w/
    1. 5 m/t w/ hill hold pala, (sorry) ung mga bagong models pala ang may hi-lo transfer case...
    2.4-a/t

    alam ko naglabas sila ng ilang impreza wrx 5 m/t

    type ko yang legacy na yan, but misis ko ayaw ng station wagons-->reminds her of "karo" kahit pahangang ngayon, pinupursuade ko parin siya na maganda yung car na yun, everytime we encounter 1 on the road...kung ayaw nya subbie forrester nalang, kahit gen 1 or 2 man lang (2.0 non-turbo lang ang nilabas ng GM-phil dito,e..)

    ps > noong nilabas yan as i recall, 995,000 lang, a/t may 6 cd changer pa.. pero kasi SOHC at 90-something ps lang plus di sikat ang brand dito sa atin, noong naghahari pa ang toyota at mitsubishi (na unti-unti, (pero na natuluyan na) na napalitan ng honda) and kia cars are prone to overheating pa...

    Oh nalito ako between space gear and space wagon. hehehe. Pareho kasing space.

    Ako wife ko pa yung nagpropose nung legacy. We saw the one in the MIAA with 18" rims and in gunmetal gray -- almost impossible for anyone to mistake it as a funeral car.

    Parang makitid kasi yung seats nung Forester tapos ordinary AT lang yung sa 2.0 -- di ko naman masikmura yung 2.5 Turbo sa gasolina. Kaya ayun.

    Looks like Scooby's here to stay now (I sure hope so). Dati kasi parang sideline lang siya ng columbian eh.
