This model will make its debut at the upcoming the British International Motor Show along with other special Impreza models that include a 330PS STI (STI 330S) and a 380PS concept.

The WRX-S is powered by the same basic 2.5 liter turbocharged boxer as the WRX, but with the help of Prodrive's re-programmed ECU and sports exhaust, it now produces 255PS and 287.6 lb ft of torque! 0-60mph acceleration time drops to 5.5 secs from 6.1 secs moving it a few steps closer to the WRX STI model.
The WRX-S comes standard with 18 inch anthracite "GT1" alloy wheels and an STI bodykit which includes a wider "WRX STI" style grill.

So this is the Lancer RalliArt challenger?

Maybe the right term should be COMPETITOR not a challenger. Mitsu never really had a model that directly competes against the Subie WRX until recently when they decided to stuff the RA with AWD and Turbo. Subaru just got ahead of the game.
