ok po ba to for a GLX 2.5 lang? every 5k ba palit neto?
Shell Helix Diesel Plus Suitability
- 10W-40 Synthetic technology motor oil.
- Cleans and protects for extra responsiveness.
- Turbo-charged and intercooled direct injection diesel engines fitted without particulate filters.
not so sure kung mag kano per liter.
natanong ko last time sa shell station. 7 liters of shell helix plus (semi synthetic lang to sir), oil filter, labor, nasa 3600 lang.
yung helix ultra color gray yun ang fully synthetic yun ang mahal.
ano kaya yung oil filter nila? standard naman siguro to.
namamahalan lang kase ako sa casa, nakita ko yung pms ng hilux almost half of the price ng pms ng strada.
oil filter siguro mas mganda parin kung orig yung bilin mo...nasa 800 lang naman yun....also I still find the shell 10w40 better than turbo XP...kasi higher ang grade nyan...pero come to think of it...para talagang niloloko tayo nyang turbo XP nayan...kasi kung yang sa shell is 10w40 advertised as semi synthetic, di pano pa kaya yung 15w50 na XP? na inaadvertise as fully synthetic diba? I'm not an engine oil expert pero just the fact that the XP has a lower grade than the shell 10w40 which is labeled as semi synthetic tapos yung XP is 15w50 na labeled as fully synthetic....diba parang napakalaking BS non?But please correct me if I'm wrong, kasi I really have no concrete idea of lower grade oils being better than higher grade ones...

excuse me for interrupting sir, na confuse ako sa grade ng oil? not really familiar with it.if the numbers go higher, meaning the grade gets lower din? inversely proportional? like 10w40 being a better grade than the 15w50..

what does these numbers mean sir?
or maybe im just sleepy na....look at that time....hehehe...:sleep2:
bai Bert a good read...try the link

Turbo xp is an optional oil but dito sa amin we use castrol oil sa casa, for me personally i been using this oil since i have a diesel engine, my rig uses full synthetic from the beginning.
Teka diba pag brand new ang auto at sa casa binili free and labor eh bakit me charge? di dapat parts and material lang ang me charge.
hehe your not interrupting sir bert, its our privilege to post here...
tama po you got it right...0w40-5w30-5w40-10w30-10w40-15w40-15w50
I'm not sure if there is a 15w30..
anong grade po nung castrol na gamit nyo sir?
also, 10k kms na po kasi kaya may bayad na yung labor...1k and 5k lang yung libre....![]()
+1, our company service, D4D-3, the big Grandia, hindi kasing mahal vs. sa Strada natin kaya tayong mga users are looking for alternatives w/out compromising the warranty.
For the Honda, it is expensive but you need not to return to the casa every 5000km check, it's every 10,000km check-up only, kaya malaki pa rin ang kamurahan.. kahit ganito, I am still a Mitsubishi fan![]()
Since I am based in Bataan, I have friends who work for Petron Bataan Refinery. In fact, there was a time that I have a supply of a Petron Lube --- it's a Trekker 15W 40 multi-grade. According to Petron's technical, Trekker is "pure mineral oil"; equivalent to synthethic blend.
I've been using Trekker for the last 5 years for my L300 and I change my oil every 7000km. The properties of the oil even at 7000km is still acceptable based on the oil analysis according to my friend but I make it a point na to change the oil by 7000km... I used to collect a liter of the used oil of my ride and submit it to Petron in Pandacan for the test, sinabay ko ito when we submit to lube of my company's gensets.
If I were to use the Trekker for my Strada, susunod muna ako sa 5000km PMS, hirap na baka sumabit ang warranty..pang L300 na muna si Trekker match with a VIC oil filter..
If I am not mistaken ang equivalent ng Trekker are -- Caltex Delo- Multi Grade --- Castrol GTX -- and the 15W 40 of the Helix; medyo madami kasi 15w40 ang Shell..
I remember reading here before that the oil one uses should be what's readily available. Akala ko sa dami ng gumagamit ng Motul CRDI e madali lang makabili nito hehe. Ngayong nahirapan akong makahanap e naiisipan ko na magpalit ng brand. What brands do you suggest? The ones that have a constant supply in the metro but not turbo xp hehe
