The dimensions are leaning more towards the Montero Sport, but its got the basics down. Diesel engine with 5+2 seats. The pricing will determine its fate when it comes next year.

Funny the video didnt mention anything about the engine. Not so premium on the engine department perhaps?

    Rexton 2.2L 4x4 A/T – Php 2,230,000
    Rexton 2.2L 4x2 A/T – Php 1,730,000

It's loaded with lots of features but paying ₱2.2M for the Rexton is a bit of a stretch.

Saw the review of this vehicle sa australia, premium feel inside ie leather materials, electronic etc. But the third row seems not built for passengers as it has little to no view at all from the inside.

This will give santa fe some competition but not against the likes of fortuner, monty, mux, everest if you intend to use/prioritize third row seats for passenger use...if not, this is a very nice option.

I was looking at some reviews and i noticed the common comment was the g4 rexton was slow to accelerate. Then they advertised this in fb so i asked for the spec sheet. Kaya naman pala mabagal mag-accelerate, its 181 hp is pulling 2950 kg of gross vehicle weight. Yung dati kong everest titanium 3.2 na 200hp had a gvw of 2450 kg nabibigatan na ako (the 1950 kg 2.2 4x2 eve is faster!) e ito pa kaya na 500 kg more. E para nang nilagyan mo ng 10 sacks of rice yung everest 4x4. May instant weight penalty pala kaya mabagal sa acceleration.

Could it be their high strength steel weighs so much more than what the ppv makers use in Thailand?
