Flash Elorde has long been acknowledged as the one. With the onslaught of Pacquiao's achievement against some of the very best, is it time to hand in the batoon?

yup, agree here. pacquiao na.
OT: naging takasan na ang tawag kay chavit ah. hehehehe.
Best every Pinoy boxer thats an easy call, pero sa tingin nyo its still far fetched to call him the best pound-for-pound fighter?
He is not just the best Pinoy boxer ever but the best Asian boxer ever. No boxer coming from Asia has had this much impact on the sport. He is watched by a lot of people that are not even Pinoy and looked upon in much the same as manner they used to look at the boxing greats like Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, etc.
From what I have read he wants to move up to junior welterweigt and win a title in that class. But before he moves to that class he should try to get a unified belt in the light weight by fighting WBA/IBF champion Nate Campbell. Then he can look up at the next weight class for his next belt.
As for pound for pound the best fighter? Definitely the best pound for pound fighter since he just took down someone who at some point fought at 160lbs.
he has been the no1 pound for pound since floyd mayweather retired in june of this year. some boxing critics/websites considered him no1 p4p even when mayweather was still around because Manny fought better competition but this is the ranking that counts:
