Talk to a Friend
"Happiness is in the comfortable companionship of friends"
- Pam Brown

When Women in a Survey were asked to define what made them glow--a sense of completely perfect happiness, even for a moment or two--the overwhelming response was talking to friends.
Today, call, write, or e-mail a beloved friend.

nice... some of my boosters that never fail...

1. girl talk with my mom and sister as often as possible .
2. go out to drink (sometimes with ktv) with my dad; that's when his version of the "talk" happens,
3. help someone; especially people who aren't able to live as comfortably as i do.
4. get made-up even when there's no occasion.
5. always smile and love yourself.

guys, add kayo ng boosters niyo.

Trash Day

Here's an antidote to chronic worry. Write down every problem you have on a piece of paper, one piece for each problem. Make a stack. Read the top paper in the stack. Spend a few minutes thinking about how to solve the problem and then throw the paper in the trash can. Repeat until the whole stack is gone. Then tell yourself you won't think about your worries again till tomorrow. that's it!

This technique works on the theory that the most chronic worry is just an endless feedback loop--your mind spins around and around about the same things over and over. Here you allow yourself to think about each problem, but not obsess about it. This allows you to focus on finding solutions, and not just spin. It also allows you piece of mind for the rest of the day--you've done your worry work and can now relax.

Sing in the Shower
"Many people die with their music still in them."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes

When I was a kid, I loved to sing. I sang in the choir and was often chosen to do solos. But as I got older, I got embarrassed about my voice and stopped singing.
Sound familiar? So many of us have cut ourselves off from this natural joy maker. It's too bad because singing lifts our spirits and opens our hearts. And it's been shown to lower blood pressure and alleviate depression and sleep disorders.
So sing today, even one short silly song. If you find singing in public too intimidating, wait until you are your only audience.
