Mountain Biking...freespirited, and not-so-complicated fun

yung mga mahilig dito, magpa-id naman kayo...

lets talk here about trails, events, good shops etc.

to start, heard there was a good bike stretch in Balara sa Marikina mega-dike. a friend and i plan to do it sometime June. has anyone tried this spot? know of any other nearby trails?

Ive been mountain biking for three months now and I think it's a fun sports. We always go to Golden Gate Park here in San Francisco for offroad trails. The brand of bikes that I own are Specialized & Trek. What are the good brand of bikes there?

Hehehe got a thompson X4 stem 3,990 petot but wala pa ako handle bar 31.8

iskul start with the frame para ma appreciate mo ang unit...buy aluminum frame. Giant XTC 2007

Giant team XTC frame cost around 15k to 16k....very light, very strong...

I will invest with the frame kasi ito ang last natitira if you like to upgrade components. very nice design pa!!!

used to do this before. antipolo, tagaytay regularly. tapos na try ko na rin samal island sa may davao city.

pero binenta ko na bike ko. ala ng time eh.

i go mountain with my crew at brown park in pasadena, frank g. bonelli park in lavern...i love downhill mountain biking and my ride is an FS Trek Y3 upgraded to shimano xt deore parts...

Balak ko pa lang kaya I need some body to help me how to start. Like yung mga good bikes, at saan pwede bumili. Magandang exercised yan.

I bought once sa PIER area it cost me 4K lang kala ko ok na kasi ang ganda ng porma may shock pa sa harap at sa frame.. pero ang daming maluwag after few months.

hey, that would be good! as soon as i finish having my bike serviced, wud like to take you up on that. marama ba kayo? worry ko lang, still building up my stamina...baka maiwanan lang ako :lol:

the US has some of the best and most scenic bike trails in the world, lucky you! maybe someday...

doon sa previous thread (pickup+mountain bike owners..) sa "garage", a number of stores were mentioned and worth checking out. give them a look-see and you'll probably see a whole range of bikes to choose from to suit your budget, preferences etc. i know my own bike is not exceptional, but it certainly looks like it will take some serious beating before masira siya :D

Cycle Shop (SM Mega & Alabang Town Center)
Extreme Mountain Bikes (Timog near Quezon Ave. intersection)
Velo (in Cartimar, exact location yet unknown)
_____ (in Marikina somewhere!)

Maganda ba yung mga GT? Cycle Shop sells those too but closer to 12K ata...

Actually I just resumed biking last Saturday after a 5 mos. hiatus. Wasnt able to finish the last 5 km of our 50km course in La Union. I hope we could meet up sometime and sabay tayo magpalakas sa mt biking.

Sinubukan namin ng kabarkada ko mag-bike nung isang araw dahil brownout. Potek, 50 meters away pa lang kami sa gate pabalik na kami ulit. Pagod na! Hehehe.
