other than our present constitution, which says

"All educational institutions shall undertake regular sport activities throughout the country in cooperation with athletic clubs and other sectors" (Article XIV, Section 19)

what other laws (PDs, EOs, etc) requires schools to offer PE classes and students to take them?

don't get me wrong. i like PE and sports in general. i just need to know.

    tnx!

errr... the one in the constitution is already enough. there's no need to issue a new PD or EO to support it because the implementing guidelines will be released instead by the DepEd or CHED.

Sa UP, an academic subject is equivalent to 3 units. A PE subject, 2 units. And ROTC, 1.5 units. Yun yung panahon namin, but I guess it still holds today. Sa lahat ng PE na kinuha ko, I enjoyed bowling the most, kasi ang gulo namin dun.

The only times na madali kumuha ng PE subject is when you're either a freshman or a graduating student, kasi priority ka sa registration.

talo lang kami kasi yung kasama ko sa team/college ayaw gumamit ng sight.

why PE? 'coz there's an obesity epidemic. although i'm not so sure how effective it is at driving the importance of physical health among kids.
