These are all local. For Medicard, here is the website www.medicardphils.com; Philamcare - www.philamcare.com.ph

after 4 years, ako na po mag-revive nito.

I moved to a different company because of this, HMO as one of their benefits (aside from Philhealth). Our coverage, according to our boss, is P200,000. But what disgust me is their list of exclusions and they dont have enough PROs assigned to hospitals, even though its a tertiary level/category.

Because of these exclusions ,ek ek that forced us to stay for one more day at the hospital and get caught by Ondoy. Hindi rin naman pala "intelligent" ang provider na to.

Now, Im thinking of getting my personal HMO or insurance because of this incident.

Medicard sken dati. Maganda ang coverage nya.
Ngayong wala na kong Medicard, balak ko rin maghanap ng bagong HMO na voluntary kong babayaran.

all HMOs are the same nagkakatalo lang sila sa coverage ng plan. the question of eto bang company A covered ang sakit na ito, eto ba covered ang ganitong mangyayari etc is not appropriate kasi it all depends on the plan that you're going to get.

oh when it comes to HMOs pa pala, ang isang hahabulin mo dapat dyan ay iyong number of affiliated hospitals pero kung marami na talagang affiliated hospitals pareparehas lang yan.

ngayon kung ang health provider mo ay you can choose your own doctor ibang usapan yan kasi choosing your own doctor is greater than the best HMO company out there.

Philamcare dati while I was paying for it myself. Both my parents are Philamlife underwriters.

My company's provider is Grepalife. All my dependents are covered.

My wife is covered by Medicard.

My son is covered by a voluntary extension (i.e. you pay for it yourself) on my wife's account.

Medicard is OK. We didn't have any problems claiming benefits when my wife gave birth. The extension for my son was a very good decision even though the price was a bit steep.
