another one of those MLMs
there's too much hype about stem cells
the hype is way ahead of the science
before you take anything that claims to increase number of stem cells...
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11689955
baka ibang cells ang ma-increase niyoStem cell biology has come of age. Unequivocal proof that stem cells exist in the haematopoietic system has given way to the prospective isolation of several tissue-specific stem and progenitor cells, the initial delineation of their properties and expressed genetic programmes, and the beginnings of their utility in regenerative medicine. Perhaps the most important and useful property of stem cells is that of self-renewal. Through this property, striking parallels can be found between stem cells and cancer cells: tumours may often originate from the transformation of normal stem cells, similar signalling pathways may regulate self-renewal in stem cells and cancer cells, and cancer cells may include 'cancer stem cells' - rare cells with indefinite potential for self-renewal that drive tumorigenesis.
cancer comes from stem cells too
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/en...ubmed_RVDocSum
Mesenchymal stem cells within tumour stroma promote breast cancer metastasis.
Mesenchymal stem cells have been recently described to localize to breast carcinomas, where they integrate into the tumour-associated stroma. However, the involvement of mesenchymal stem cells (or their derivatives) in tumour pathophysiology has not been addressed. Here, we demonstrate that bone-marrow-derived human mesenchymal stem cells, when mixed with otherwise weakly metastatic human breast carcinoma cells, cause the cancer cells to increase their metastatic potency greatly when this cell mixture is introduced into a subcutaneous site and allowed to form a tumour xenograft.
aye, like I mentioned in the other thread. doubtful pa kung meron mang transdifferential limit ang stem cells, malay niyo di macontrol ang pagmultiply
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
yep
using the words "enhance cell growth" (or other words with the same idea) in marketing a product may attract customers
but people have to realize cell growth isnt always good
cancer cells also grow
and grow and grow and grow don't stop
Uls yan din ang inisip ko kaya lang it was tested sa lab using mice. Inject nila breast cancer cell sa dalawang mice. Yong isa placebo at iyong isa with stem enhance. After 6 weeks yong placebo lumaki ang cancer cells at yong with stem enhance nag shrink ng 30% ang tumor or cancer cell.

Stem Cells May Be Key to Cancer
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/21/he...canc.html?_r=1
One day, perhaps in the distant future, stem cells may help repair diseased tissues. But there is a far more pressing reason to study them: stem cells are the source of at least some, and perhaps all, cancers.
At the heart of every tumor, some researchers believe, lie a handful of aberrant stem cells that maintain the malignant tissue.
The idea, if right, could explain why tumors often regenerate even after being almost destroyed by anticancer drugs. It also points to a different strategy for developing anticancer drugs, suggesting they should be selected for lethality to cancer stem cells and not, as at present, for their ability to kill just any cells and shrink tumors.
"I think this is one of the most interesting developments in cancer research in the last five years," says Robert Weinberg, a cancer geneticist at the Whitehead Institute in Cambridge, Mass. "I think more and more people are accepting it and evidence is accumulating that cancer stem cells exist in a variety of tumors."
The idea that cancer cells possess the same properties as stem cells has been around for many years. Only recently have biologists developed techniques for identifying stem cells and their presence in tumors.
dude, it's pretty obvious you are connected to the Stem Enhance MLM
(you started the thread, you're promoting the product, and you're defending the product)
i'm sure you can post a lot of videos and info links that support the product (which, in the first place, originate from the company selling the product)
show me something unbiased
like a study from the NIH
Sorry guys hirap internet dito sa location namin gabi lang okay. Eto pala ang site ng studies na request ni uls:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...ubmed_RVDocSum
Tapos eto naman Patent document approved by US gov:

from the NIH link above:
interestingBone marrow-derived stem cells (BMDSC) have been implicated in tumor formation, though it is not clear whether they contribute to tumor growth. A novel mobilizer of BMDSC (StemEnhance; SE) was used to investigate whether its daily administration promotes tumor growth. Forty mice were surgically transplanted with human MDA-MB-435-GFP breast cancer into the mammary fat pad of nude mice, The mice were gavaged for six weeks with 300 mg/kg of SE. Tumor growth was monitored using live whole-body fluorescence imaging. At the end of the study, tumors were excised and weighed. At the start of the feeding trial, tumor areas for both control and experimental group were statistically identical. Tumor growth rate was slower in the SE group (p = 0.014) when compared to the control group. After 6 weeks, tumor areas were 40% larger in the control p < 0.01) and mean tumor weight was 35% smaller in the SE-treated group (0.44 g vs. 0.68 g; p = 0.031). Feeding of SE did not promote tumor growth but rather reduced the growth of human MDA-MB-435 breast cancer.
but that's still a mouse model
if that's drug that has to be approved by the FDA before it can be sold, that stage of drug development is still a long, long way from FDA approval
but since it's only a dietary supplement, it doesnt need FDA approval and can be sold to the public even if it's only been tested in mice
so the humans who are taking it now are experimenting
well, you're all grown-ups
you can decide for yourselves
spend your money on real food which your body needs
or spend your money on pills your body doesnt really need
to those who have grandparents who are still alive and healthy in their 80s, 90s, even 100+, i'm sure they have never taken Stem Enhance or any of those heavily advertised/promoted, very expensive dietary supplements... and they live to be that age
kayo

FDA does not approve dietary supplements in the same way that FDA approves some drugs and medical devices. Nonetheless, FDA does regulate product quality, product safety, and product claims, and has authority to remove products from the market that are not safe or that make claims that are not substantiated by scientific evidence. Yes it was initially tested on mice but it's been out in the US market for nearly 5 years now. Currently Stem Enhance is marketed in 14 countries and no food supplement has done such market expansion in such short period of time [/

If we can afford to buy accessories for our cars which does nothing to our health, why not this "pills" which is scientifically tested to support mobilization of our adult stem cells which is considered to be the building blocks of our body? We should not forget that our greatest capital that helped us to earn the income and own properties that we are having right now is our healthy body. If we don't take care of it as we do to our cars, all of this will just go to drain pag nagkasakit na tayo ng grabe. So why wait for that scenario? It's a medical breakthrough. This is a different kind of supplement unlike the others. It supports what the our body does naturally which is to heal itself.
^^
so the only way for everyone in the world to stay healthy is to take Stem Enhance?
so everyone who's not taking Stem Enhance right now is gonna get sick and die prematurely?
the more you post, the more obvious it is you are pushing a product
right now, as i type, people are living long healthy lives without taking that product
what happened to eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, avoiding stress?
don't those things keep people healthy?
that thing is a fad
like noni, goji, acai, etc
like those concentrated mineral drops from that salt lake in Utah
like many, many other dietary supplements that were really, really popular
they were all hyped and heavily promoted cure alls
but they all fade away
that Stem Enhance thing will fade away too

It's not the only way to stay healthy but taking Stem Enhance will guarantee our body to stay healthy See the nutrients contained in AFA which is the main ingredient of Stem Enhance: http://www.newdimensionhealth.com/Documents/AFA.pdf
And you can't compare Stem Enhance to those stuffs that you mentioned. Those stuffs has no proper clinical studies and credible documentation to support the product. And they have no Patent unlike Stem Enhance. The other dietary supplements that you might be referring supports just certain specific part of the body. Stem enhance supports all parts of the body since it helps mobilize adult stem cells which is the main building blocks of the body.
Stem Enhance will fade? I don't think so. Just see the growth report of the company: http://www.adultstemcellbreakthrough.com/substantiatingfacts.html

product promotion muna
Stem Enhance is actually a renamed product
years ago, a company called Cell Tech promoted a similar product called Super Blue Green Algae
the product was found to have high levels of toxins (microcystins) that can cause liver damage
and there was a lawsuit that forced Cell Tech to refund customers coz of false claims about the product
Stem Enhance was then created by the same people behind Cell Tech to continue selling the blue-green algae food supplement
