Healthcard for our seniors (65 above)

Hi Anyone tried this HMO. Since almost all HMO are accepting below 65 only for their HMO. I found this HMO for above 65 y.o.

1. PhilCare – 5000/ year
The Medical and Dental Consultation Health Card for 65+ allows members aged above 65 years old to avail of consultation services from its national network of medical specialists and dentists in any of PhilCareís accredited hospital or clinics for one year.
One year unlimited medical consultations with 9,600+ PhilCare affiliated family medicine specialists, internal medicine specialist, cardiologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, pulmonologists, gastroentrologists nationwide.

2. Maxicare Prima Gold – 12,999 /year
For 60 years old and up
With Emergency Care Coverage for up to Php 20,000

Planning to avail this kind of Card for our parents para atleast may unlimited checkup at laboratory which is needed sa age nila.

Aside from the above list baka may other type of HMO na gamit niyo sa mga senior parents niyo.

Maxicare -> pag may procedure na gagawin sa iyo (in my case sisilipin ang sinus), kakausapin ka pa ng agent nila sa phone at uusisain pa ang nararamdaman mo. Parang dapat sa kanila ka na lang nag konsulta.

Sir Lew, ganyan din sa Philcare when I first used the card, pero mga 1 minute lang naman ang tanungan. Sa Maxicare naman, ginamit ko na lang agad, wala namang nagtanong sa akin. Baka random checking ng HMOs.

Pero sir ang HMO, maaasahan pag may emergency at lalo na kung walang pera on hand. I am speaking from experience.

2nd class eh jan nga sila kumikita dahil sa overcharging.

Kaka 65 lang ni ermat, matatapos na ginagamit nyang healthcard na libre therapy, consultation pati opera basta worth 100k, so Yung philcare pala na above 65 eh pang consultation lang at dentist.? Wala din pala silbi hehe pustiso na ngipin ni ermat[emoji90]

Oo nga, magkano ba consultation fee ngayon para ma compute kung ilang consultations equivalent yung 5k. Ten years ago a doctor at Fortmed told me that HMO pays them only 250, consultation fee at fortmed was 400 back then.

Its 600 to 750, i only pay around 250

Optional dependents ko parents ko sa HMO ko (intellicare) and 6k kaltas sakin a month. Hindi naman namin matiis na wala silang health coverage kaya my sister agreed to share half of it a month.
