is there such a thing? i just want to work on my fitness and want to jog and/or run. nothing serious actually, just for the sake of exercise lang.. i want to use running shoes as my trainers are already worn out and i wouldn't want to use my badminton shoes for running.. i hear new balance makes good running shoes. went to the planet sports and athlete's foot a while ago and the cheapest was 2800. meron bang mas mura? kahit low end model, or older model. di naman talaga ako runner eh hehehe

haha actually that came to my mind too. pero yung durability lang kasi. i was just trying my luck kung meron bang genuine shoes at that price range
my badminton shoes was actually a cheaper replica of the higher end yonex SHB-80W shoe. but it's manufactured by yonex sunrise which is an authorized distributor of yonex. inside the shoe it says, "OFFICIAL REPLICA" then "MADE IN CHINA" which would it's a replica but at least it's recognized by the company and (i guess, and hope) goes through quality control. if the same would be case with some brands of running shoes then it would be great hahaha..

some adidas running shoes are priced less than 2.5k. there is this shop in trinoma, the one near the crocs outlet store, and iirc they had a pair of adidas selling for around 2k. they seem to have a sale often for adidas shoes. i just forgot the name of the shop.

sa cash and carry din palagi mayroon naka-sale na adidas.

Definitely walang ganyan sa BIG BRANDS (Nike, Adidas). So try smaller brands like K-Swiss, Accel and stuff like that...

For running shoes, I prefer cheap but original ones. Mahirap sa Class-A eh, baka matanggal ang sole habang tumatakbo ka. Haha. :D

Sayang lang pera mo IMO. wait for a promo sale at bumili ka na lang ng branded. Mas sulit.

2800 is actually cheap. running shoes normally range in the 5-7k price.

i suggest get the 2800 new balance. alot of people take for granted the cushioning offered by running brands, it will make you run longer and stay injury free.

if you can stretch your budget, get the brooks ghost3 (assuming you're a neutral runner) around 5k siya available at any tobys, get half size bigger than your normal shoes.

here are the brands ive tried, tested and recommend
    mizuno
    brooks
    new balance
    asics

who knows, maybe when you get the right shoe you might want to take running regularly

i saw Fila running shoes kanina sa SM on 50% sale, 1500php. pero ayaw ko lang ang kulay verde kasi :gayfight:

*miles: will try to look for those brands as well. the reason why i wanted real running shoes for running was because of the cushioning and comfort and of course sa safety. i use to run on trainers and my foot isn't quite happy..

i was finally able to buy new balance running shoes for 1,700 at planet sports kanina lang.. may nakita akong world balance actually for only 1200 pero the biggest available size was only 43, too small for my large foot (size 45). anyway that world balance doesn't look too good as it looks like an old stock. the NB was sold originally for 2800, was on 40% off thus the 1.7k. not bad really as it looks great and is comfortable too

    it looks like this:

New Balance is a reputable brand of running shoes and you got them at a very good price. Congrats. I also look out for NB sales bec of the way they slash down the prices from the orig cost. Sulit talaga.

Re your question about Accel: it turns out to be a good brand after all. My sister who's based in the US bought a pair when she was here 2 yrs ago. She wanted a Pinoy brand as a souvenir (along w/ her Bench jeans and Pennshoppe pasalubongs for her kids). She said her Accels were comfortable and good enough for jogging and gym use.

yes good deal talaga.. imagine the 1000php savings, it was quite a steal. about the accel, i'v never tried to use that brand but while i was still in a hunt for shoes i always took a look at accels. one thing i noticed was that the in-sole was soft (i was just pinching it haha) so i guess it would be comfortable enough on the foot. but there are other factors as well of course that could affect comfort like construction of the ankle area, etc.. but since some PBA players are accel-sponsored, i guess they're good enough.

btw about my new NB, it was a wide model which is designed for people with big feet like mine haha.. my complains about my previous shoes was that it wasn't totally comfortable specially at the toe area. it's like it wrapping my toes which results to pain after few minutes of walking/jogging or even just strolling inside the mall. my badminton shoe was a wide model also, and i was lucky to find a wide model running shoe which was sold for a reasonable price.. overall i'm happy with 'cause it very comfortable

recommend ko FILA mura may makukuha ka sa price range mo matibay pa.
