Hi C#*RD. I believe that detailing the exterior compact SUV would take anywhere from 2 hours to half a day depending on the condition of the paint and what needs to be removed/repaired/protected. Pag mejo ok pa naman condition ng paint mo, mas mabilis.
As for professional detailers near your area, di ko sure kasi ako taga south. But BigBerts is the best in the country AFAIK. Now if they would only open a shop here down south! Hehehe.

I was finally able to reprotect my car!
I did the following this time around:
1) Clay the whole car. The underside had ALOT of contaminants. My once yellow clay is now greenish sa sobrang dami na natanggal. Pang rims na lang yung ngayon.
2) Polish with 3m PFIII Machine Glaze applied with white LC pad. I liked this polish. Easy to use. Easy to remove. Mejo dusty lang. Natanggal nya yung mga mild swirls ng paint and lightened the medium ones. It also removed the week old waterspot etchings that I was unable to remove with washing, QD and clay. Kewl!
After step 1 and 2 makinis na uli baby ko! wohoo!
3) I wanted to see the look of 3m sclw on my mz3 so I used that as my LSP. Since my kp600 was really hot from polishing, I applied by hand. Easy on, easy off. I used around 7/10 of the sachet.
Ignore the trim/windows/tires. Bukas na lang yun. My arms are falling off.

Yan may reflection sig na ren ako! I hope SCLW goes well topped with carnauba. I'm planning on topping it with MOM's phase 3 to add some depth.

patopig: san mo nabili yung 3m PFIII?
Also clayed my car this morning, and woah there are a lot of contaminants despite having protection, I also found a hair line scratch on the hood. I didn't apply any paint cleaner cuz of time constraints, just a coat of nanowax. Its really easy to apply and buff off....
Despite claying there are still few contaminants left specially the lower part, daming talagang asphalt na dumikit buti na lang di na umulan today :D

Thanks ILD! Yung PFIII Machine Glaze nakuha ko dun sa paint center na may meguiars DACP na nakuhanan natin. Nakalimutan ko yung pangalan. ehehehe. 69 per sachet. Nagamit ko mga 1 1/5 sachet for my car.
I never really fully apreciated claying until now! hehehe.

Zechs: 3M Show Car Liquid Wax.
BTW: Honda has notoriously soft paint, you might might wanna fill up the swirls instead of "removing" them with a compound/polish.Last edited by ILuvDetailing; August 14th, 2005 at 11:06 PM.
