Maybe because business are mostly dominated men, that included beauty business. Advertising industries are mostly dominated by male, but that is now, imagine back then when women are "for kitchens only".
So she's blaming the Kardashians as double agents for patriarchy. This pictures says a lot. What this picture sells is anorexia, insecurities, etc.

Men's preference for the ideal figure of a woman is biological and not a social construct. The patriarchy did not have a clandestine meeting and decided what beauty standards should be followed. Companies only cater to the demand but the marketing often goes overboard that's why sometimes it results in anorexic individuals.
