YouTube had an unusual outage on Wednesday morning Manila, prompting all sorts of behavior online.
The hashtag #YouTubeDown quickly trended on Twitter, with netizens the world over panicking over the outage, and perhaps more interestingly, P0rnuhb's traffic shot up!
According to a data released by P0rnHub, their traffic went up 12 percent when the outage was reported.
It surged to 21 percent one hour later, which P0rnHub said is "above daily averages at 10 p.m."
When YouTube's service was restored around lunch time (midnight in the Western hemisphere), P0rnHub's traffic dropped to 2 percent to -4 percent, which is below average numbers.
P0rnhub said it's a "significant increase by millions of additional viewers during ****hub’s peak evening hours."
According to YouTube, three services were affected by the outage: YouTube, YouTube TV, and YouTube Music.
