Stay away from cdrking. Hindi ganun kaganda quality ng routers nila. Namimili pa ng pwede kumonnect minsan. Any from these brands: DLink, TPLink, Linksys, Netgear, Asus or Tenda.

Medyo gagastos ka for quality routers, i assure you in 3-5 years buo pa yan.

Cheapest are D-Link, Tenda, TP Link.

Been using dlink for years now. Or minsan yung power adapter nasisira. 24/7 sya bukas.

For the price of an antenna, bili ka na lang ng isa pang wifi router tapos conficgure mo as access point. Mas malaki pa coverage mo.

Carrier grade - Ruckus. SOHO grade - Cisco/Linksys, SMC, Netgear. Im still using Linksys WRT54G to post this, its 10 yrs old and refuses to die. the stackable design is superb as the heat produced by the transceiver is dispersed quickly, plus the external antennae gives a good range.

    Question mga Sir/Ma'am,

May effect ba pag nag direct connect ako ng another TP LInk router to our PLDT DSL using CAT5E cable? may ibibigay din po ba yung na wifi signal if ever i-place ko siya sa 2nd floor ng house namin?

    Salamat

Yes, direct connect via cat5e to main router to extend your wifi signal is so much better than wireless extender... although may signal lost...

Depende sa material between the first floor and the second (e.g. thick concrete or wood). Pwede humina ang signal galing dun sa 2nd floor going to the first floor.

What's the solution if the wifi doesn't reach certain areas in your house (too far from the router)

Either add more wifi routers (if you have old ones like me, you can use those), but will have to layout extra LAN cables. Or upgrade to mesh-type routers (easiest but more expensive).
