Hello peeps, I can't seem to find if there is already existing thread as such or similar. So here I am, starting it. Has anyone ever used this?

I am thinking of buying one to be able to get connected anywhere 24/7. Can I use either Globe or Smart prepaid sim?

I'm still open for any suggestions. Will look into the Huawei. How does it work with a prepaid sim? Say Smart? I have two active prepaid Smart sims lying here around. Hindi na masyadong nagagamit eh. Thanks.

why not use a spare smartphone tapos i-activate mo ung Tethering and Portable hotspot, kaya naman nun mag provide ng wifi sa multiple devices.

ako ginagamit ko ung Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 or Alcatel Onetouch 918N, both phones can be a wifi hotspot.

normal SIM po, it can Call, Text at Data.

kung 24/7 connectivity habol mo much better off ka getting a decent android phone and a powerbank,
rather than a device like that.
any hifh end phone naman na android e me tethering na...

for me what i do is
    carry a myphone a919i (quadcore,5 inch phone)(sulit mura lang e.saka pwede ipanakaw)
use that to tether to wife's phone and tablets and my note...so 24/7 connected..plus pwede ko pa ilabas ung myphone kahit saan hehehehhe
using sun and globe, within the metro, mas mabilis ng bahagya ang sun.

since i also vape,i carry around an xstar wp2 charger which serves as my vape's charger and when needed it also functions as a powerbank,
i do carry 2 pairs of 2000 mah batteries with me thou for my vaping needs.

Thank you sir for the input. Appreciate it. Question: Do I need to register my normal prepaid sim for data to be able to make it work by tethering?

no need lahat ng pre paid lately are internet ready already, unless you plan on using a very old sim card,
as far as tethering is concerned any android phone is capable on doing so,any recent laptop or computer can connect to the phone, its very rare na hindi unless na a decade old na ung lappy mo.

    only thing there is
    consider that
globe has a daily cap of 800mb
    smart also has a cap
sun..alam ko until now wala pa.

Thanks to all who replied. I now am using the s3 mini as the tethering device with an old smart standard prepaid sim. It works.
