Guys help. Trying to download a *******. I'm at 96% na, I have 68 peers, 10 of them seeders. I'm downloading and uploding. My problem is from time to time, I will get a bit******* error and it will stop. I have to resume or force start it to get it going again. Sometimes complete stop and I have to exit bit******* and restart the program.

This is the error from the log file:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "Bit*******\RawServer_twisted.pyo", line 512, in _make_wrapped_call
    File "Bit*******\Connector.pyo", line 963, in connection_lost
    File "Bit*******\ConnectionManager.pyo", line 441, in connection_lost
    KeyError: '80.43.117.54'
    [4.22.1 2006-12-15 21:39:50] DEBUG : ******* failed

Whats the problem and what should I do?

pards baka 48KBps (Kilobytes per second) and not 48kbps (kilobits per second).

Anyway mabilis na yan for plan 999. 48KBps is equal to 384kbps (kilobits per second). Plan 999 is 512kbps (kilobits per second) residential rate and it is not guaranteed.

I use *******. easily configurable sa Wireless Router to optimize download speed.

if you want download speeds to be faster, download using a Mac computer. trojan/virus/worm free. minsan I download 2-3 TV series simultaneously, tapos na in 2-3 hours and error-free. imagine i'm only using 1.3Ghz Processor for Mac. sa Windows PC world eh sobrang obsolete na eto ganito speed, mga 3 years ago na ata.

CPU speeds shouldn't be a big factor. On my X2 4200+ pc with XP Home, I downloaded a 3GB Mandriva Linux dvd iso and a bigger Vista RC1 (32-bit) dvd iso at around 1hr 30min apiece with a cable modem and that's also with error correction/file verification on. It's your connection type that matters. My primary ******* (********) downloader is a P3-733 from 1999 (with XP Pro) and it downloads very fast via the same cable modem.

never ko na-experience yan. your download speed is dependent on your connection type/speed and not your computer. i've been downloading *******s 24/7 using ******* (same engine as ********), with several *******s at once and all were successful. my PC before was a Pentium 4 1.8GHz then upgraded to a AMD Athlon64 3200, and both computers performed the same in downloading *******s.

Walang kinalaman yung type ng computer sa bilis ng download. Rather it has lot to do with your internet connection. 2-3 downloads in Azereus + downloads with other file sharing programs simulataneously is possible (btw, total download for that exceeds 100 kb/s+).

1.3 Ghz is still pretty fast for Windows XP. I used a P!!! 500 mhz (with 256 MB ram) from 2001-2004 with Windows XP and it was sufficient for everday tasks (ie. web browsing, downloads, office, photoshop,etc...)

Some CPUs are also more efficient than the other so even if they have a lower clock setting they can still operate comparably with others of higher clock settings. For example, AMD Athlon64 3200+ is rated at 2.0 GHz only, but it is said to be comparable in terms of performance to an Intel Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz.

The reason for this is because you are using Azereus which hogs ALOT of memory. And if you're Windows XP PC is running on low memory (ie. 512 MB or less) then for sure the system will slowdown bec. the system has to use its virtual memory from the HD.

Regarding downloads that dont work, it happens rarely for me. But it does happen bec. sometimes people deliberately seed bogus file designed to look legitimate, or seeders erroneously encoded it into an incompatible video file or file compression. Other times (which never happens to me), improper settings affect performance whether it be in the modem, router, Lan module, file sharing software settings, windows firewall, etc...

Any ******* app should be fine. Personally, I rather rent/borrow a dvd and make my own Divx conversion with DVD Shrink and AutoGK.

For me, I use emule for movies bec. I only download from a person/entity who specifically releases good DVDRIPs (ie. max. bit rate to minimize pixelization and splitting the movie into as 700MB/part as needed). For example, the latest "Pirates of the Carribean" was split into four 700MB parts to maximize the bitrate for a 2hrs+ movie.

*******s are also good but the quality is substandard. Imagine trying to squeeze a 2 hrs + movie into one 700mb file. The resolution would have to be worse than VHS and pixelization galore. TV series are different though. I get most of the HR HDTV (700MB) all from the *******s.

well kung movies hanap mo sa *******... search mo muna keyword axxo, usually maganda quality ng releases nila for a 700Mb file.

i dont think its right to generally say that movies shared on *******s are ALL substandard, di naman lahat ng movies on *******s are around 700Mb, madami din multi-Gb sized since madami nagri-rip from dvds.

I have actually d/l only one such movie (700mb), "The Punisher". The actual res is only 576 x 240. Expanding it and then pausing it in mid-playback:

    http://members.cox.net/junakapekto/The%20Punisher.jpg

It still looks quite good on a regular crt tv.

If you want to wait about an hour, I can post a screencap from the pilot episode of ST: Deep Space 9 (1:30) with one image a 1.5gb Divx straight from the vhs version, a second cap from the dvd version, and a third from a "low res" Divx version. I'm just waiting for AutoGK to finish.

Add: That "The Punisher" screencap may look a bit fuzzy on the pc. But it looks pretty good on a tv.

The ff info are typically the properties of the movie video file that I get from Emule. I do notice a bit of upscaling but it does not affect the quality in anyway.

    Image:
    800x336

    Audio
    bitrate: 96kbps

    Video
    23 frames/second
    Data rate: 324 kbps (variable)

    For those interested:

Major Kira from a 1.5gb Divx of VHS version
    http://members.cox.net/junakapekto/Major%20Kira.jpg

Major Kira from the dvd itself
    http://members.cox.net/junakapekto/M...Kira%20DVD.jpg

and Major Kira from a low res (352x272) Divx rip of the dvd
    http://members.cox.net/junakapekto/M...%20352x272.jpg

I obviously had to upscale the two lower res images to the same size as the dvd screen capture.
