I would just want to gauge the three on which is the best buy when it comes to portable gaming console. Please let me know your first hand experience if you own one and what are the PROs / CONs

    • Sony PSP
    • Nintendo DSi
    • Apple iTouch

Would you happen to know where i can get these cheap?

Sony PSP ako, it has more of the games that suit my taste. The iPod touch while a great multimedia device is not really a hardcore gaming device. The Nintendo DSi is a little too kiddy for me, pero kung trip mo Pokemon and di eto kunin mo!

why limit yourself on a tiny game machine... I prefer a netbook. You can do much more with a UMPC.

Well its not exactly super portable, it can't fit in your pocket... And of course these platforms have their dedicated games that won't run on a PC.

I like the PSP mainly as a media device. I got over six hours watching shows and movies on my PSP during a flight from Tokyo to LA. It's internet interface kind of sucks, though due to the lack of practical text input. Games? I've had the (gen 1) PSP for years and I've bought 1 game for it so far.

If I were to buy a new media device, it'll be the iPod Touch. It's evolved to the point it can compete with the PSP on media and has a much better internet experience. My wife has the 8gb Touch. I'm thinking of getting one for myself. Unless Sony comes out with a much better PSP(2), I'll be buying an iPod Touch next to replace my PSP.

DSi? That's for my kid. Well, she's 13 now and is turning out to be a great anime artist. The next step for her is animation. So, she'll probably be badgering me for her own (Windows) laptop. I noticed she hasn't messed with her DS Lite and Wii lately.

If you want a gaming device, get the psp. The Apple Itouch is much more like for soundtracks. The Dsi is kinda kiddy for me

I've got an iTouch with a built-in phone . It's a good multimedia device, but I like it best as a mobile phone. For browsing the internet, the touchscreen keyboard can be a bit of a pain but not as much as the PSP's.

For portable gaming, it's the PSP for me. My 13yo son has the PSP Slim. I want to play on it, too but I can't pry it off his hands. The choice of games is simply a lot better.

We also have a Nintendo DS Lite. Nobody else in the family likes to use it except my 9yo daughter. It has only 1 game because whenever i ask her if she wants a new game for it she always say she wants a new dress or pair of shoes instead.

It depends what you really want to do:

    iTouch - music/video

PSP - serious gamers, serious games

DSi - casual gamers, casual games

The closest comparison would be PSP vs DS since both gaming.
PSP if you're a serious gamer. DS for casual games.

I think this can be settled depending on demographics.

If you are a hetero***ual male, 10 and up (yo), then PSP

    DSi for the general population.

ITouch, as a gaming device are for poseurs (joke).

    kung gaming, PSP or DSi.

    PSP:
graphic wise ok to. yung ibang games port lang mula sa iba, ok to kung hindi mo sila nalaro noon. dami pa pwede gawin bukod sa games. ok yung sound kahit medyo mahina speaker.

    DSi:
interactive fun games. kakaibang experience din. port games dito mas maayos pagkaka re-make.

if you have extra money, get both. ^_^

PSP mas pang adults mga games.

DS Lite mas pangbata ang games.

Touch para sa mga gusto maki-IN
