Recently bought one and still figuring out how to connect or find
the best method to transfer files from HP to PC and vice versa. Is blue tooth faster than IR? Which one is better? Should i go for bluetooth? What brand do you recommend and how much?

bluetooth connections are relatively faster than IR. Another thing, dapat nakatutok mga IR ports of PC and CP to establish connectivity while bluetooth only requires you to be within a distance, basta ma detect nung PC/CP na may bluetooth capable na device, pwede mag transfer ng files.

Either of the two pwede.. IR or bluetooth connection. If you want to backup your phone to PC install mo yung N6600 PC suite tapos depende na sa iyo kung IR or bluetooth... basta meron pc mo mamili ka nalang...

usually auto detect na yung mga bluetooth/IR port na external sa mga USB... pero to make the device work, you have to install the software bundled with your hardware.

i currently use an IR port to transfer files, e.g. tones, pics, apps, games, etc. to my laptop and vice versa.

i also use it to backup my phone memory/contacts para pwedeng ibalik sa phone in the event na maghang (knock on wood)

pero may question ako, tatagos ba ang signal ng bluetooth through concrete walls? i plan to make my LAN at home all wireless na eh... bluetooth hub and bluetooth receivers sa mga computer para di na makalat yung mga wires eh. TIA

If your planning to set up your house a wireless LAN kelangan mo ng magandang ACCESSPOINT for your wireless connection... 3COm or NOKIA ok ... di ko lang sure ko ganu kalayo ang kaya nun... + yung wireless card mo sa PC mo.. ORINOCO or NOKIA wireless card OK yun!!!.... tried and tested na namin...

Bluetooth connectivity naman 10meters siya, pero kapag may concrete walls.. hmmm.... pwede rin naman siguro... probably less than 10meters...

OK na kahit IR lang kasi it goes to any phones basta may IR.. BLUETOOTH ok naman eh... actually yun ang gamit ko dito sa bahay.. may ininstall nga ako na software para magalaw ko yung PC ko thru my phone using bluetooth eh.. pwede mo lakasan, ilipat ang winamp player and pwede ko rin i-shutdown PC ko using my phone... hehehe COOOllll.......

ok i'll use bluetooth mukhang mas ok. pero napaisip ako bigla, na mas mabilis yata ang IR kasi it's using light di ba? and light travels faster than radio waves, pero mas convenient naman ang bluetooth dahil di mo na kailangan na itutok mga ports.

Bluetooth is WAY WAY WAY faster than IR. Maximum asynchronous transfer rate is 723+ kbps!!!!

    IR only achieves around 75kbps.

UNLESS.... you have IRDa-DATA which can transfer up to 4Mbps...... which I doubt your Nokias have.

Oh yes... i forgot to mention, your pc has to have a bluetooth dongle (well you have to have an IR dongle too kung regular desktop PC).

Odell, pare-pareho lang network yan. Iba lang yung media/protocol. So basically, same steps din dadaanan mo to connect.
