I was doing an inventory of my stuff and I came across my old Crossfire USB2/Firewire PATA 120gb external hard drive. I bought the thing back in 2001(?), maybe 2002. It has a 120mb Hitachi Deskstar Deathstar(?). I checked it for any defects and was amazed to find there is none.

I did a check of the other computers. The one remaining Athlon XP 1700+ I still have used a 100gb Western Digital hard drive dating back from 2002. That one also checked out fine.

I had cleaned out most of my really old stuff recently. I recall having had a 1.6gb hard drive from 1996 and a couple of 4gb hard drives from a couple of Pentium MMX pc's.

    Ambabata nyo pala!

I had a 120 megger back then when everyone else had 40. Cost me 9000 bucks, that was 1990. Nakakahinayang when you think about it now.

BTTT, I still have a 370 Mb Connor (or was that Conner?). It's not hooked up to anything right now, but it still works.

Up until the mid 90s I kept a 5MB Altos Winchester hard drive in my garage in Fremont, CA. It was slightly bigger than an IBM AT but weighed much, much heavier. I eventually gave it to an employee who was collecting computer junk/antiques.

The oldest HD I have right now probably is a Seagate 40MB 5.25" hard drive. I last tested it about two years ago and it still worked at that time. Not sure now.

BTW I still have an original 8" Micropro Wordstar floppy disk (CP/M).

486? 1GB hard drive? Hmmmm. Trying to make a legacy MS-DOS gaming box?

Still got 2 remaining 20gb SeaGates that I personally got at Rising Sun at their offices sa Taft way back in 2001 5,400rpm!

    Perfectly working.

CPU, well I still have the Asus P4B for the P4 processor. This board is still on 512 RAM. Running? You bet! Video Card is one of those Jetway Riva with 64mb at the crank

I think the only thing I replaced on it was the power supply.

    It's my nostalgia unit :snob:
