How much ang charge to "unlock" a cellphone from the USA (a motorola) para magamit dito sa pinas?
thanks

i just checked it and it's a MOTORAZR. We have this model in the philippines di ba? And since GSM din ito (quad-band), it should be able to function here normally. tama ba?
Out of my line me being in the chemical field.
Baka kasi pagpunta ko sa mga malls, mayari pa ako, so better have some advance knowledge. Thanks

As long as it's cingular or tmobile multi band phone it could opened.
Razor uses 850/900/1800/1900 band.

From my experience here in canada all tri/quad band are not provider locked. Just call your provider it could already be open. Definitely could be used back home.
Motorola RAZR is QUAD band.. so pwede sya magamit dito.. yes, it can be unlocked though mas mahal lang compared to nokia phones.. cost would be around 500-1,500..

razr ba? kakapa open line ko lang last month. actually it came from my sister who's in new york.
cost me 500.00.

I plan to bring it to Festival Mall tonight.

not with US carriers. all phones purchased with or without plan is locked to its specific network if bought from the carrier or retailer. Pero some retailer can unlock the phone when you buy it.Originally Posted by GasJunkie
resmile, have you tried remote unlocking?
I was there last year and it cost me 1000 pesos to unlock my T-Mobile phone.
i think "remote unlocking" mobile network lang ang allowed to open the phone. the best to change the parts ng cp mo, to lower version, in philippines version. try mo po sa greenhills magpa0pen line bantayan mo na lang kung pano nila ayusin, at least nakikita mo, para sure at pulido ang work. then get some warranty para pag di nagwork mabalik mo agad
OK. Salamat muli.
I was at festival mall last night and the quote was Php900. Kaya lang, medyo hesitant yung YES when i asked kung nag-oopen sila Motorazr. So i decided na wag na lang. Balak pa yata pag-experimentuhan yung CP (baka first time nila to do it..)
I guess pasyalan ko na lang either glorietta (as recommended by Gilmore) or sa greenhills.
