I went back and re-installed Windows XP X64 edition... Windows XP is still more gamer friendly overall thus the downgrade...

Windows7 has a WinXP mode for programs having problems running under full Win7 environment ... not sure if it would cure your game problems though.

Depends on which one... but the one I tried from the other month still expires and cannot be updated without triggering MS' anti-piracy logos.

This one can be updated straight from MS' website. It is active straight from the install.
