    If Windows, IIS ung webserver.

You can assign an internal IP for the webserver to be safe outside (assuming may mga open ports). Then map the ip outside of your router.

    ex:
    Internal: 192.168.0.30
    External map: 203.190.22.30

Tapos ung 203.190.22.30 dun naka assign ung domain name mo (pano ba setup nang DNS nyo?)

And, what is your router anyways? Cisco?

baka iyong webserver ninyo eh nasa labas ng LAN ninyo. at iyong PC na ginagamit ninyo at that time walang internet access palabas?

put it in a drawing so you will not be confused. by then your network plan/structure should carry also the IP addresses. useful to pag may idadagdag na equipment or services.

i may be able to help you... kaya lang Linux/Unix ang specialty ko eh..

mas maganda po if you can get the full details of the setup.

what media are you using to transfer files to and from the web server? imho kung usb drive naman, and kung mostly static ung pages, it shouldn't be that much of a hassle. or, you could add a network card on the web server and connect it to your lan -- kaso there might be some security issues you need to consider. imho a workable compromise would be to add the network card, then connect it to your local lan only if you need to transfer files. after magtransfer, disconnect it kaagad.

also...why win2k3? for the purpose it serves, parang overkill po. linux+apache would do just fine -- *kung* sanay po kayo sa linux B)

Ask the administrator ng network nyo to give you the exact location of the files (localhost)

Like sakin dito, pag nag "http://localhost/redcorner" ako naredirect sa red corner site dito sa local. Ung location nya "D:\My Documents\Red Corner" sa IIS kasi ia-assign mo ung location nung site.

Sa CSB din ganito ang setup. localhost/csb redirects you to the site. Pag sa labas ka, kaylangan www.dls-csb.edu.ph

Isang step lang talaga to. Pag binigay nung admin sayo ung exact location/directory nung mga files, start saving there. Problem solved! :naughty2:
