What objects or technologies do you think will become obsolete by 2020? What will suffer the same fate as the typewriter or cassette tape?

I hope that paper bills/statements won't become obsolete. It seems like the movement is towards paperless transactions na talaga.

I still use CD's. Their sound is still superior in my opinion to a MP3 though flac is now pretty up there but nothing beats electronic files for convenience. I still use vinyl too.

I think feature phones would still be around too as well as film cameras and a few other analogue technologies such as the vacuum tube that were touted to be obsolete before.

I do agree though that digital point and shoot cameras are on the endangered list as well as pocket wi-fis. Perhaps CRTs will also become rarer.

Graphene replacing li-ion and li-po batteries. According to what i've read so far, it can be as thin and as flexible as a sheet of paper, i-charge lang for a few minutes, pwedeng gamitin for hours...wow! Imagine its limitless application!

Optical fiber with its wavelenght division multiplexing replacing all copper infrastructure. All telcos are leading to this route, one fiber in a box data + phone + tv. Wireless would still have limited bandwidth, so not much to expect for the mobile phones.
