i think they are importing the parts now, there are three major cable that has been destroyed. the two cable are expected to be fixed on Jan 20, 2007, the other one would be Jan 10, 2007

but my smartbro has not change a bit

i have both PLDT DSL and Smartbro at home. hindi nga nag iba ang connection speed ng smartbro. itong pldt dsl lang ang nagkaproblem. and ilang sites lang ang affected. downloading of *******s is not affected, though. tsikot, cnn.com and YM lang ang bumagal talaga.

other users may experience slow bandwidth but others are somewhat not affected at all, restoration could last until end of the month, they are shipping parts from all places

as qouted "the cableship arrived morning at yokohama on the 2nd of january, and started loading of spare cables, repeaters and consumables for the repair. Loading is expected to be completed on jan 4, 2007 and will depart on jan 9, 2007"

yung dsl sa office, as of kanina, wala pa rin . mas ok pa nga ang pre-paid, nakaka online ako..

im on globe visibility and connection is eratic minsan mabilis at times bumabagal lalo na pag lumalakas ang hangin. youtube ayaw mag open saken pati friendster. pero sa ibang websites ok naman. yahoo ok naman paminsan lang ang YM hirap maka sign in. pero all in all improving not like a week ago na talagang wala nang silbi.

got some insider info... Actual repair will be done for 3 months dahil hindi daw "sway" (left-right motion) -type ang earthquake kundi up & down motion type... which also was the reason kung bakit wala namang tsunami... Underground cables are designed to outlast the sway type EQs pero hindi daw sa up & down type....

3 months!!!!! Does that mean 3 months without gmail Pop Access for me!!!! waaahhhh!!!!

after the earthquake at taiwan, they adv that the affected were smart pldt bayantel. im using bayantel dsl at home (valenzuela), so far ok siya at bumilis pa.

im using eastern evo dsl at the office with an speed of 2MB. im too pissed off coz the speed im getting from my evo dsl at binondo is 116kbps. eto nakakainis guys, as per my telecon with the billing dept, seems like i will be billed for the 2MB speed. meaning theres no rebate. ganyan sila kagahaman.

sir try to call your tech support, ask for another DNS server, that should fix your problem

i am using globe broadband. ok na yung connection ko sa ibang sites pero dito sa tsikot ang bagal talaga lalo na pag ...waiting for rsskahuna.com 1 minute or more pa . help please.......
