as far as i know, NONE... that's why a lot of bad elements are taking advantage of it's untraceability...

kung merun kang insider sa telecom...they can actually "triangulate" the location of the SIM as long as ito ay active (nakaplug sa phone).

^^^ Yep. That's true. If you know somebody from your GSM provider, they can do that. They can even tell you on what cell site is the subscriber registered, even when he/she is moving.

We just found out recently that our postpaid cell phone was used to transfer load to another number even before we knew it was stolen. Phone was taken together with other stuff from inside our car after the thief broke one of the windows. We are trying to get the help of the telco to see if we can get more info...

possible yan pero with police intervention....and probably even a subphoena from a judge na tulungan kayo so that the culprit can be traced.

confidential kasi yung info na yan (unless it was registered - like the feature of smart on tracing your kid's location via the cellphone he is carrying).

Its possible....remember sa news dati may case na nahuli dahil na-locate yung location ng suspect dahil sa cellfone....

Kahit palitan pa yung sim basta yun celfone pa rin ang gamit eh malolocate... pag mautak yan at tinapon yung celfone and sim eh malabo na....

i think the sim is the one that can be located not the phone.. :doh:

prepaid nos. are hard to trace, no name tagged to its no. so the best way to track it to locate its position near a certain site or post of the telcos.
