Sir galing ako sa HK last month and I was trying to buy a Digital Camera din kaso almost same price din dyan sa manila. I think mas mura sa US ang mga digital cam.

I stick with sony, got my dscp 50 last year w/ 128mb memmory stick
this year I bought their megapixel digicam, digital camera/handicam na sya and u can use the memmory stick.

1.8T, magkano yung megapixel digicam? kasi our digicam got lost it was a pentax optio 230 used for only 6months.. bad trip nga e.. the optio 230 is a good digicam (for me).. i think its resolution is 2 megapixels.. it works fine for me and my family.. i think some1 is selling pentax digicams at the car exchange. its the higher version, optio 3 something.. check it out na lang.. :D

Powershot S45 sa HK under 30K nalang... if open budget ka mag G3 ka nalang... or better yet, digital SLR!!!

compact size?

i can recommend Olympus C-730 UZ medyo compact SLR type.

Construction - though its not aluminum harden pero okey lang, grip not bad, maganda yung construction in general
Zoom - 10X Optical Zoom with 3X Digital so overall power is 30x but you need a tripod to appreciate its beauty.
Memory - you can select Smart Media Card (SMC) or the OEM Olympus SD Card. Yung drawback pag hindi naka OEM card ka. Hindi mo puedeng eh stitch yung overlapping shot mo using there software but you can shop around for another software to stitch you overlapping shot.... Ang alam ko yung memory stick medyo mahal, anyway mga dalawang or tatlo beses ka lang naman ata bibili kaya okey lang.
Battery - you can use AA, though the package don't carry with a chargeable battery & charger but you can buy a four set of energizer & a GP then also buy a charger yung practical ata yung 3Hrs charging kasi yung 1 Hr sobranga mahal. Wag kang kumuha nang conventional kasi medyo matagal ang charging mga 5-8Hrs. BTW with my exp. with ordinary battery, i takes 15 mins lang drain na. Kaya for a digital affectionados battery type is a must to consider in buying a camera.
Other Features - video clipping puede with audio pa.... 2 and 1 shot, black & white, super macro shot, varity of pre-load camera setting to match the subject, can be adjust to manual, ISO can be set to manual up to 400...... anything else? refer na lang sa web kung interesado ka.

As an owner maganda para sa akin itong 3.2MP D-Cam kumpara sa luma kung Intel D-Compact Camera :-)

If you want a compact Digital Cam, I recommend the Casio Exilim S2. Its as small as a credit card and takes 2.0MPxel pics. I use this and ok naman. Retails for 14thousand. Digital zoom lang, but what do you expect from an itsy-bitsy cam? :mrgreen:

im more in still shots. around 3-4 megapixel habol ko.

m also checking out olympus/sony stuff ... might get it sa US nalang if ever

sobrang ingat sa super compact na gizmos chances nang masira ai mataas at saka mostly disposable pa........ though yung mobility superb but how about yung fragility ingat dito ingat doon ang mangyari.

So mostly ang nangyari sayo-na-yan-basura este sayonara pala
