Who's into amateur radio/ ham and radio scanning/ listening?

I'm a licensed amateur radio operator and have been enjoying the hobby.

Lately I discovered the joys of scanning and is looking for a comprehensive list of local frequencies used by different organizations in PH (similar to radioreference.com) but have found none. I'll start with a list but mostly of amateur groups. Please do include some if you know any group. I know many shifted to trunk radio already.

used to be a member of a ham group in the 40m band. nowadays, parang sayang oras.

40m is a good substitute for emergency communications such as, during the time of yolanda. you just need a 100w xtorized xceiver, a good mobile ant, a 750w ac power gen, a 12v car batt 3sm and you are on the air.

side by side with a satellite transceiver, nothing beats this combination.

I'm into QRP now. My set up is a Yaesu FT817ND 5watts with an Alex Loop antenna and a 7ah sealed lead acid battery with solar panels for charging.

Also have a few HT but my favorite is the wide receive Yaesu VX3 only 1watt for transmit but really portable. Smaller than a pack of cig.

wow, qrp? anong band ka, bro? parang humina ang dx dahil sa el nino. ang 1w, pwede sa winter season. parang mababa ang qrm ngayon.

maybe time to fire up my 6 ch 100w ssb hybrid xceiver; ang hassle ay ang renewal ng license.

I haven't really opened my QRP rig recently pero usually 40m lang ako. Mostly contacts ko Japan.Chinese marami rin sila pero naiinis ako kausapin hehe. On a good day dati I was able to contact California 5/9. I want to focus on CW for QRP pero mabagal pa ako.

Thanks for this sir. Most of my time I also do scan and listen. I bought a dedicated scanner for this, mas mabilis. Minsan I go to malls and scan the frequencies they use din. Magandang hobby din. Ang madalas and useful na namomonitor ko is yung sa mga bumbero and mmda.
