    Hi peeps,

Hoping to get some feedback on Dell servers -- ok ba?

Been comparing them to HP's and IBM's offerings. Seems that they don't have the really 'pamatay' offerings, like petabyte-scale storage systems. i heard some feedback that their products are cheaper than HP's

    How about reliability?

Management options: how does its software compare with, say HP Openview?

    Based on experience.....

I am an IT Head of a multinational company. We have a worldwide partnership with Dell. We use Dell for our notebook, desktop and server.

We have been a using Dell servers for more than 5 years. They have been a workhorse. Uptime 24x7! Equipment - No major breakdown. Support - A1, we can get replacement within 48 hours. One of our office is based in Mindanao.

We do get support from our Vendor and Dell Phils..

They have a free management tool. More than enough to support the administration.

We have about 40+ Dell servers. They are tower type, rack mounted and blade servers.

Storage? We use the EMC storage which work great with Dell.
