    good morning!

ask ko lang how do i know what type of windows should i install? 32 or 64 bit?

my laptop is 2yrs old, a pentium dual core cpu t4400 * 2.2ghz with 2g of ram.

kaya ba ng 64 bit ang laptop ko?

Check mo nalang sa net yung specs ng required os ng model ng laptop mo.

Usually 32 bit lang nmn iniinstall sa mga dual core.

Your laptop will support a 64-bit OS.

Two major advantages of 64-bit over 32-bit:

    1. Support for >3.12 GB memory
    2. Applications, particularly 64-bit ones, becomes more responsive

In general, systems with 2GB of ram and less would be better with 32bit Windows. While faster systems with over 2GB RAM will benefit from 64bit.

Upgrade mo muna RAM to atleast 4gb para ma-take advantage mo yung 64bit os. x64 programs will greatly benefit
    from it, i.e. Photoshop 64bit

64-bit systems/operating systems can make use of more memory:

    2^32 = ~4GB RAM maximum(although some older mobos can't handle 4GB due to hw/BIOS limit)
    2^64 = ~16 exabytes

64-bit systems should also be able to process data in bigger chunks given that it's using 64-bit registers.

imho there might be some sluggishness running 32-bit apps on a 64-bit OS, but i don't think you'll notice it.

nope.... its the same as having a 4 GB RAM, pero naka 32 bit.... 3.2 GB lang madedetect.

hindi lang naman sa RAM support makikita ang difference. in windows, 64-bit:

    * come with a technology to prevent hijacking the kernel,
    * support for hardware-enabled data execution protection,
    * mandatory digitally signed 64-bit device drivers,
    * and increased performance for programs that are written to take advantage of a 64-bit operating system.

kung magretain ka lang ng 2GB of RAM, ok na yung 32 bit. pero pag mag 4GB pataas ka, 64 bit dapat
