android: mobile state disconnected, number unknown?

i tried out a new Globe prepaid SIM recently, ayaw lumitaw ng cell#, and mobile state always shows "disconnected". i read some posts that this is by intention, for security purposes....but on some of my old Globe prepaid SIMs lumititaw naman ang cell#, and mobile state is reported as "connected".

Any suggestsions on how to fix this? i can call , text, surf, etc with no problem...OC lang

i think irrelevant na kung anong brand/model ng celphone kasi sabi nya pag yung mga lumang prepaid sim cards gamit nya lumalabas naman daw yung cell # and connected , i'm just assuming na he's using the same phone, though

baka nga sa sim ang problema, hula ko lang din...
